Position: Quant Analyst
CEB is currently seeking a Quant Analyst for its Talent Analytics Team.
- The Talent Analytics Team leverages proprietary quantitative data from across CEB businesses to apply scientific research methods to complex people-related challenges faced by leading organizations.
- We are looking for candidates who are familiar with statistical / analytical tools.
- The Analyst position at CEB is for individuals interested in learning data-based research—the foundation for any data science, strategic planning or research-oriented career.
- Analysts enjoy exposure to the full array of strategic data work: data management and processes; benchmarking and norming surveys; predictive modeling; and proprietary research exercises focused on peeling apart ideas in search of insight.
- Importantly, as an entry point position at CEB, the Analyst role is a key feeder to careers reaching the highest levels of the firm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzing large data sets to identify actionable insights for senior executives
- Assisting with large-scale data collection efforts through administration of multi-national panel surveys
- Building benchmark and other standardized data reports for members with simple and insightful graphics
- Employing analytical tools, such as root cause analysis, to identify the drivers of members' business problems and to create hypotheses regarding solutions
- Communicating and presenting analytical insights to internal partners
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to use proprietary data for additional new products and services
Required skills:
- Training in quantitative social science fields, such as Economics, Econometrics, Applied Microeconomics, Public Policy, Political Science, or Sociology
- Exceptional record of academic achievements
- Proficiency with basic statistical concepts
- Proficiency in at least one statistical software package (excel, SPSS, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Original/creative thinking and superior problem solving abilities
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and strong commitment to high quality results to serve needs of CEB members and internal partners
- Self-motivated/self-starter approach to projects
