Urgently looking to Hire for Category Manager - Sourcing & Procurement (AMCs for Electrical equipment, UPS, DG Sets, HVAC)
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing the clients (internal and external) with customer focused insights regarding the product/service and category. The Procurement Category Manager will be expected to demonstrate an expert knowledge of the assigned category areas.
- Creating and developing a long term plan and strategy for development of the category.
- Driving category relationships with the suppliers and develop them into preferred and strategic alliance partnership.
- Becoming a leader in category ranging, pricing and promotions across customer channels.
- Working alongside customer and Corporate SCM and Account SCM teams to translate customer insights into strategies which drive performance. Also a high degree of collaboration with the wider Facilities Management team to ensure best-practices is implemented across the category with a true respect for efficient procurement.
- The delivery of identified improvement projects and activities within the broader context of the Supply Chain & Procurement function
- Using tools and techniques to profile; benchmark; research and assess the market; risks; competition; trends and new opportunities etc to ensure continuity of supply; to make sure that best value is achieved and to keep the organization ahead of the competition.
- Promote exemplary spend efficiency by driving down category expenditure across both soft and hard Facility Management related goods and services.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate supplier base wherever possible to leverage on volume economies.
- Manage information on cost savings and provide reports whenever required.
- Identify suppliers, capabilities, share of business, products pricing to establish standardization of rates for all requirements within scope.
- Lead the development of market insight and collaborate with the wider Procurement function to share best in class procurement solutions for the category across IFM.
- Work with a cross functional team in developing and executing Professional Services sourcing strategies that support individual customer business objectives and achieve optimal pricing/cost savings.
- Design and develop RFP documents for category projects or make recommendations for negotiations; spearhead analytical efforts in areas specific to Professional services
- Negotiate agreement with supplier and incorporate best practice metrics for agreements to aid the Category Management process
- Pursue and develop senior level stakeholder relationships at priority accounts; support account stakeholder relationship plans.
