Looking to hire for the below mentioned role with a Well Known brand in consumer healthcare  Designation: Category Manager  Job responsibilities  Responsibilities can be categorized into relevant areas such as:   - To develop current & long term category strategy &brand plans in order to drive business and achieve sales targets as well as profitability(EBT)  - To carry out relevant consumer researches/ market analysisin order to help carve out category strategy in order to gain category share  - To design long term brand portfolio basis past & current brand identity & forecasted category movement.   - To forecast NPD & brand extensions which is in line with category targets & portfolio strategy.  To drive brand Health targets and brand equity  - Conduct regular brand health studies to track brand awareness, trials &usershipvis a vis competition.To draw marketing plans basis the results of brand tracks in order to drive brand growth  - To supervise execution of plans across Above the line & below the line in order to achieve pre-designed targets  To devise optimised marketing mix &execute brand plans within the marketing budget of the brand.  - To decide marketing mix of the brands handled including pricing, product, distribution, packaging, promotions&Communication strategy.  - To plan &allocate budget to each brand/ sub-brand/ marketing initiative in order to optimise spends.  - To ensure the execution of all brand marketing plans on-time.  - To develop brand communication that is based on consumer insights & translates into effective advertising that builds brand health and achieves brand objectives  Media Management   - Planningcampaigns, pre and post evaluations , execution, media buying, checks, media scheduling and trade-offs  - Media Buying and impelementation audits  - Celebrity Management , optimising of brand layouts on a dynamic basis  - To drive development of New Products in order to build the category and deliver the business deliverables  - To develop products from R&D which are based on consumer needs & are in line with overall long-term brand plans.  - To test NPD-New Product Development& brand extensions through consumer research to ensure products have the desired attributes required by target consumers.  - Ensure that extensions are profitable by projecting sales, desired GC%- gross contribution& driving R&D to deliver on it.  - To develop marketing strategy & decide on marketing mix of NPDs.  - To ensure in market success of all new launches  - To contribute in the area of people and process development for improving the function of the marketing department  - To facilitate improvement in team/ junior colleagues through assessment and course correction  - To conduct in house training sessions in various marketing topics to build know how  - To have formal and informal forums to identify development needs of team members and provide opportunities relevant for the same  - To recommend team members for training as relevant  - To suggest marketing process improvements in areas jointly identified with superior  Reportees : 2  Reports to : Category Head  Experience required : minimum 6 years  Qualification: MBA
