CarDekho.com - Data Scientist

Overview :

- CarDekho is looking for a Analytics Specialist/Data Scientist, who can bring his or her quantitative abilities to bring out predictive insights.

- The individual will act as a source of truth for all statistical questions/hypothesis/algorithms

- He or She will be a part of Central Analytics team and build statistical models for their predictive modeling exercise.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Make use of exploratory and descriptive data mining techniques in order to fully characterize the nature, structure, quality, and information content of the data.

- Create predictive models based on high-complexity, high-dimensional data sets

Design and develop statistical models that will include :

- Research on innovative algorithms/methods

- Define Objective function and build hypothesis

- Identify, Prioritize and Transform variables for model building

- Build, validate, and Refine model output based on use cases and scenarios

- Work with the technology team to deploy models in production environment

- Contribute in sharing the impact of the model to the business

Qualification :

- Graduate/Post-graduate in Data Science/Engineering from Tier 1/2 colleges, with experience in statistical modeling and Machine Learning

- Candidates who have a background in statistical computing and machine learning will only be favored.

Must have :

- Hands on experience in developing and implementing methods in predictive analytics & computational statistics is required

- Proven experience in advanced statistical algorithms - Multivariate Regression, Logistics, GLM, Random Forest etc.

- Hands on experience in Big Data/ Hadoop/ Machine Learning, Random Forest, Decision Tree, SVM etc.

- Statistical computing in R, Python - Strong experience in at least one; Familiarity with SQL and query performance optimization is a Plus

Good to have :

- Experience in Internet companies

- Proficiency in data handling - ETL, SQL and No SQL Databases

- Good communication and documentation skill
