Compensation is not a constraint.  - The Chief Application Officer's role is to provide vision, leadership and execution capabilities for developing and implementing innovative information technology initiatives across CAMS Mutual Fund Applications.   - The Chief Application Officer directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of R&TA operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. The individual is responsible for all aspects of the organization's information technology applications.  GM Systems Role :  - General Manager - Systems (GM) will report to the Senior Vice President - Technology of CAMS. This is a leadership position and the position will have a say and control in all areas relating to identifying application systems strategies, leveraging new technologies and industry best practices in the financial services sector. This effectively means identifying and translating future-state operational changes into technology enabled solutions.   - We are looking for individual who can demonstrate leadership, with strong communication and persuasive skills. Throughout this entire journey/process the role will leverage its deep understanding of the latest disruptive technologies, particularly their applicability in the fintech space and by having an all round understanding of domain, operational, service and regulatory related areas.  Key Responsibility Areas :  - Implement technology solutions to seize market opportunities by working closely with Senior management, clients and delivery teams.  - Eliciting business need, suggest tech based solutions for optimizing the current business process flows for high operational efficiency and customer responsiveness  - Working with business and technology leaders to understand current and future-state process flows  - Play a lead role to redefine and challenge the set of concepts, processes, and services that comprise the enterprise's value chain and operations in a typical B2B and B2C environment.  - Translating complex topics, concepts and business opportunities into innovative technology solutions that will help the company take advantage of market opportunities or overcome business challenges  - Understand and own the current enterprise application architecture and be accountable for delivering optimal functionality, performance and information security aspects with a deep understanding of the current technology and future changes impacting the overall architecture  - Effectively engaging with business and IT groups to align the application architecture with strategic business direction   - Work closely with product managers and/or project sponsors in understanding the business vision and the project scope, contribute towards enriching it as a futuristic tech based solution and accept ownership for timely delivery without impact to the overall application architecture.  - Develop a strong working relationship with business leaders, act as a funnel in channelizing ideas, process improvements and productivity measures with a single minded goal of implementing these leveraging latest technologies and enriching the application architecture stack  - Providing coaching and guidance on solution options (based on understanding of industry trends and customer expectations)  - Building a trusted technology advisor relationship with business leaders and IT Teams on account of your good expertise of current and futuristic application technologies with their applicability in current environment.   - Contributing to a consolidated business and technology roadmap (ensuring that resources, interdependencies and business priorities are effectively aligned)  - Facilitating or influencing changes to product portfolio to improve competitive position and/or optimal product performance  - Providing informal mentoring to other members in technology teams.  Ideal Profile :  - The ideal candidate would be in his mid to early forties with about 15-17 years of work experience in the IT / software services / product engineering in financial services sector preferably in areas relating to financial payments, having a high level of data exchanges with various intermediaries in a B2C environment.   - He should have an established track record that includes application/solutions architecting, product engineering, product implementations as a BTM (business technology management) interface role. It is expected that he / she would have a B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent. An MBA or equivalent is desirable. He should be an effective communicator with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
