Job description for Head-Commercial  - Should have handled negotiations of large quantities & large Items on a repeatable basis  - Should have worked with large organizations of scale & high volumes of procurement activity of high net worth with least pilferage   - Should have handled all types of procurement   - Conversant with all Central Excise and Customs, VAT procedures and acts.  - Conversant with all SEZ and DGFT related matters and Procedures and EXIM Policy.  - Expertise in preparation of Export and Import documentation  - Very well acquainted with customs and Central Excise bonding and bonded warehouse procedures and documentation.  - Excellent negotiating skills in dealing with Shipping and Airlines freight rates.  - Good Liaison skills with personnel of Customs, Central Excise, DGFT and VSEZ.  - Expert in liaison with all government departments.  - Comprehensive Exposure with entire EXIM Policy & Procedures including Advance License, DEPB, DFRC, EPCG and all other DGFT works.  - Conversant with EXIM related matters of Excise, Sales Tax, Customs, ECGC, RBI, EPCs related including Insurance Cos and Shipping Cos Procedures.   - Should have worked in either FMCG/ Retail /Pharma / On Line Retail - Head of Function or 2nd in line   - Developing and implementing the commercial strategy for the business.  - Working closely with the COO to manage key customers (existing and new), thereby improving turnover and profitability.  - Undertaking market research and analysis and producing business plans/recommendations (including all associated costs and forecasted revenue for the business), to ensure that all business development opportunities (new products, services and markets) are optimized.  - Championing and leading each new product or service development, from innovation through to successful implementation across each business function, to enable it to become a core part of the business.  - Reviewing and assessing the potential to develop strategic partnerships with sector specialists.  - Assessing the risks to the business of any new commercial opportunities.  - Ensuring that regular reviews are carried out with customers, to ensure that their needs are being met and that excellent customer service is achieved and, developing future improvements/services for the customers.  - Liaising with relevant internal departments to ensure that customer needs are met and that customer requirements are fully communicated throughout the business.  - Maintaining an awareness of external factors (including competitors, pharmaceutical developments, government business initiatives, current and proposed legislation in relation to commercial activities) which impact the business. Communicating such information and any subsequent changes to the COO  - Communicating with all major stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve business objectives.  - Collating and analyzing business data pertaining to all commercial activities.  - Ensuring that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) in line with business objectives.  - Working with all members of staff to maintain and develop the positive progressive culture within The  - Observing and complying with company Health and Safety Policies.  - Observing and complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).  - Undertaking any other duties which may be requested by the Line Manager, for which training and/or an explanation has been provided and understood.  - The Incumbent should be a Post Graduate / M.B.A   - Should have atleast 18 plus years of work experience out of which a minimum of 10 years in the commercial function   - Expertise in Sourcing, correspondence, documentation, bargaining & negotiation skills   - Excellent Team Handling skills.   - Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relations.  - Has a Track record of enthusiastic leadership and achievement in all former assignments exceptional work ethic, routinely use available time to solve organizational problems, ability to work without the need for direct supervision, multi-tasking, and timely completion of all assignments.   - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to prepare reports and conduct presentations on key issues by clearly formulating positions on issues.
