- Product buying, driving sales & profitability with monitoring, balancing and delivering against range architecture. Responsible for identifying, on boarding, negotiating and managing brands/vendors for a specific vertical.
- Sharp understanding of market (both domestic and international).
- Understanding of competition in continuum with continuous tracking
- Sharp analytical skills
- Buy plan in coordination with the Category Manager
- Responsible for product selection and assortment decisions
- Range Plan Strategy Season wise, Month wise & Week wise
- Responsible for setting product pricing through margin analysis and competitive market research
- Analyze multiple seasons of historical performance to establish trends and opportunities
- Partner with merchandiser and store team to balance inventory and assortment across the stores
- Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments from order to shipment to receipt
- To achieve annual business targets set by the company
- New Stores fixtures set up for private labels and brands
- Strategy plan & mark down structure for end of season sale & promotions
- Improve quality & increase net margins through better costing & controlled mark downs
- Team management & development (to Create Healthy Working Environment to get Better Results)
- Vendor Management
- Detailed analysis related to sales & stocks to understand the performance of the category & to plan accordingly to improve further. Communicate over/under bought situations and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Conduct training programmes at stores to increase product knowledge of front end staff & motivate them to get better results in terms of increase in sales
- Seasonal Photo shoots and Store Visits.
