Business Intelligence & Reporting

Location: India (Mumbai)

Type: Full-time

Experience: 2+ years in a reputed organization in business intelligence or reporting role

Education: Bachelor's degree (IT, Engineering, MBA candidates preferred)

Function: Expert- Database/BI Developer

Responsibilities

- Propose and develop reports/ BI dashboards as per client business requirements

- Ongoing development and operations of BI architecture to enable fact-based decision making, ad hoc analysis, and insight generation

- Undertaking design & development, testing, iterations and troubleshooting the product/ solution developed

- Designing and building reports and analyses in Excel, MSBI and other BI tools/ platforms

- Improving and streamlining processes regarding data flow and data quality

- End user interactions to establish/ clarify user requirements

- Developing & modifying database objects, defining relationship between tables and enforcing referential integrity constraints

- Development, optimization, and maintenance of ETLs and stored procedures

- Composition of technical and end-user documentation as needed

- Design, code, test, and document all new or modified BI systems, applications and programs

- Technical briefing to internal and external stakeholders (if required)

Desired Skill and Experience :

- Hands-on expertise on data analysis, data modeling and data visualization

- Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems

- Working knowledge of industry standard databases (eg MS SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle)

- Prior experience of working on BI Tools viz., MS BI, OBIEE, Tableau, Qlikview, MicroStrategy

- Working knowledge of ETL Tools; viz., Infomatica, MS SSIS (preferred)

- Firm understanding of Database / Data Warehouse (esp MSBI) principles/ methodologies

- Ability to learn and apply new trends and technology in IT

- Self-starter with can-do attitude who can operate independently and in a team

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
