Business Head - Telematics Division - Auto Component Manufacturer

The Company :

Telematics division of reputed Auto Comp Manufacturer with a vision to be the preferred partner in the telematics / IoT space.

The Purpose of the role :

Responsible for building and driving the telematics business unit from scratch to one of the top preferred solution providers in telematics space. Leading all the functions of the business unit and responsible for overall success of the business unit.

Indicative deliverables :

- Market Development : Exploring and lead generation to drive business opportunities in the telematics / IoT space.

- Team Development : Form teams around Product Development, BD, After Sales support to drive growth.

- Go to market strategy

- Strategic relationship with technology, software, connectivity partners for providing end to end telematics / IoT space

The Person for the role :

- Engineer with a Management degree with about 12 to 15 years of techno-commercial experience. Leadership experience in managing business units and teams.

- Good understanding of the telematics solutions value chain like connected vehicles etc. Good connects in the industry.

- Experience in handling solutions sales across any / all of verticals like insurance, fleet management, auto, industrial segments etc.

- Good domain understanding of telematics applications in terms of Onboard diagnostics (OBD), Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC), CAM Mobile technology, Oracle Transport Management (OTM)
