Required Business Head - Entertainment for the Radio Business of a leading Media Organization.

- Ideally from an agency client servicing with agency /Brand Marketing background. Also candidates with AFP selling background in niche can be considered. Should have the pulse of the market so as to develop new and existing clients for properties.

- Generating revenues nationally from the given markets for existing and new clients for NP/AFP/BS & Digital Spike

- Interacting with clients and agencies to sell properties Brand Solutions and AFP’s. Also create opportunities through NBD and creative thinking.

- Laisoning with digital agencies to generate revenues for Digital Spikes

Entertainment is an integrated media business that ideates and executes large event properties. Its primary objective is to use live consumer media to influence young and new-age audiences that are currently not within the reach of conventional media. Having created some of India’s most innovative event properties, the team of Fever Entertainment has made a definite change to audience preferences. Going forward, it endeavors to establish path-breaking mass engagement projects, converging media platforms and unifying segmented audiences, under the umbrella of 'Branded Entertainment'.

Business Head

Direct Reports (2); Total team : 20

- Responsible for the profit and loss for the vertical.

- Responsible for revenue, overall business strategy and running the vertical as a financially independent business unit

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility: Deliver on P&L as per plan

Tasks:

- Develop and implement business strategy

- Overall revenue responsibility;

- Optimize client relationships

- Plan and manage marketing, PR and branding activity

- Analyze the financial performance of the function and identify and remove bottlenecks to performance

- Scan the environment to gain insights into competitor strategies, potential business opportunities and market trends

- Plan and manage profitability as per plans

- Plan and manage costs within budget

Performance standards:

- Deliver

- Overall Revenue

- Profitability

- Ensure operational costs do not exceed budgeted levels

- Collections

- Grow client count

- Drive inorganic and organic growth

Responsibility: Talent/Staff Management

Tasks:

- Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.

- Provide coaching and regular one-on-one meetings for staff.

- Establish accountability for achieving results through entire sales team.

- Set stretch goals aimed at developing the business skills and competencies

- Manage all aspects of reward and recognition necessary to reinforce and communicate important messages about performance and organization direction and values

Performance standards: Employee retention and employee satisfaction ratings

Responsibility: Integral member of the Management Team

Tasks:

- Work with senior management team to develop and maintain a strategic perspective based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction in organizational direction, program and services, and decision-making; and, ensure the overall health and vitality of the vertical.

- Help make sure that the Company’s philosophy; mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization.

- Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from the Company’s key constituencies regarding the quality of programs and services and the Company’s relevance.

- Help formulate and administer policies to ensure the integrity of the Company.

Performance standards:

- Has respect of the department and actively participates.

- Leads and encourages involvement from others in staff meetings.

Primary Interaction: Nature

External:

- Clients: Agencies, Advertisers, Institutions

- Develop key relationships across clients and agencies

- Maintain and develop new business with clients and agencies to attract their desired demographic.

- Function effectively within major advertisers seeking access to urban markets

- Present professionally to major corporations/institutions

- External media: As and when required

Internal:

- Station Heads: Work closely to plan the most effective sales strategy for all sales from the stations.

- Executive Management: Regular updates and meetings with Executive Management

- Programming and Marketing: Regular meetings and updates with Marketing to drive activities that help promote brand building and increase sales

Unique Knowledge & Skill Requirement:

- Strong management skills to drive business results

- Strong national client relationships in any or all: Automotive; Adult Beverage, Beverage, Entertainment, Music, CPG, Pharmaceutical, Leisure, Apparel, Foot Wear; Financial Services, Luxury Goods and others.

- Good with meeting and exceeding targets.

- Leads by example by creating a culture of “Lead and Win”

- Ability to work in concert with the interactive group when required

- A person who enjoys building other executives to succeed in a dynamic environment

- Successful track record of delivering business results

- A strong understanding of the India market as it relates to all kinds of events taking place in the entertainment industry

Qualification:

Education & Experience:

- MBA from Premier institute.10-15 years of experience in sales and marketing and around 2-3 years of handling a P&L responsibility.

- Proven track record of high performance

- Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to strategize and execute; ability to lead and build a team
