Our esteemed client is a global IT solutions organization, addressing the requirements of clients across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia.

They are scouting for Business Development Managers.

Role: Business Development Manager (Sales Hunter)

Work Location: Australia (Melbourne and Sydney)

Role Overview: To maximize the sales of the company, the primary responsibility in this role would be to identifying new markets and drive new business opportunities for company's services.

Your responsibilities will include Identifying & Developing Proposals, upselling & cross-selling existing Client base, assist in the implementation & specification of the solution - working alongside pre-sales team & manage pricing & margins as per the Company directives.

Deal Makers: Previous experience with an Integrator is a must, with an ability to target high level accounts, present at board level & use IT as a value added solution as opposed to a commodity will be highly regarded.

Candidate should have experience of at least 10 + years in direct selling within the IT / Systems Integration industry (in the Australian market) with strong knowledge of the sales process & the technical solutions available. He/ she should have worked more in corporate sector in comparison with government and PSU. Presentation, professional aptitude, motivation & communication skills must be at the highest level.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Screening potential deals and maintaining relationships with new Identified and existing accounts

- visiting potential customers to demonstrate products and gain knowledge of new potential markets

- Acting as a contact between company and its existing clients along with new potential markets;

- Prospecting by phone or in person - in defined markets.

- Meeting with prospects/customers to negotiate terms of an agreement and conclude sales;

- Gathering market and customer information;

- Staffing trade exhibitions and demonstrations;

- Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with managers;

- Recording sales and order information in the company's sales management system;

- Reviewing own sales performance by progress report and reviewing the same along with Reporting Manager(s)

- Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;

- Making accurate and rapid cost calculations;

- Forecast sales target and ensure they are met by the team.

- Feeding future buying trends back to company

- Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies and objectives. Besides this, maintaining relationships with existing customers through regular review visits;

- Represents the organization at various community and/or business meetings; promotes existing and new programs and/or policies.

- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:

- Knowledge of contracting process

- Corporate accounts relationships and know how

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

- Knowledge of management principles and practices.

- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.

- Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.

- Employee development and performance management skills.

- Knowledge of software to quantify and illustrate complex financial reports, comparisons, impacts, and/or projections.

- Skill in presentation preparation.

- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.

- Ability to effectively communicate.

- Ability in organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

- Knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and available resources.

- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.

- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.

- Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and practices.

- Knowledge of current business issues
