Business Analyst - IT

Position Overview

Candidates must possess Business Analysis skills to identify a root cause for a problem statement and ability to work with the development team. The candidate is responsible for understanding functional and product requirements for component / module for a specific release, documenting its functional specifications to convert these specifications into stories / work units and then translating them into criteria for acceptable product performance; Works independently, collaborating with all other roles within product development life cycle to ensure product releases that meet organizational standards / customer needs.

Skill Set:

User Stories, UAT, Feasibility Analysis, User Acceptance Testing, Gap Analysis. Work with the business stakeholders to rationalize and prioritize the business requirements. - Preparing Business process flows and eliciting the business requirements and documenting them. - Breaking down of business requirements in to User Stories that are Clear, Precise and testable.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

- Ability understand the business requirements, document it, propose a solution, come-up with a prototype and work with the development team to develop and deliver the solution

- Demonstrated experience in project conceptualization and planning

- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience; including both verbal and written communications.

- Ability to lead and work collaboratively within a business unit team and have strong influencing skills

- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment

- Expert working knowledge of complex business operations.

- Must be able to work well under pressure and have a strong understanding of business process, organizational readiness and change management.

- Must possess strong communication, presentation skills. Strong time management skills for managing multiple, diverse and conflicting activities are required.

- Strong Logical, analytical, benchmarking skills required

- Experience in Use Case Modelling, and other UML techniques.

- Demonstrated ability to actively contributing on multiple projects of varying complexities and scope.

- Demonstrated success in effective written & verbal communications.

- Accountable for the timely delivery of projects as per established roadmaps by working closely with the business teams

- Create and present functional and technical design including data analysis to business team, and gather feedback to influence solution design and approach

- Facilitate review sessions with functional owners and end-user representatives

- Response to the RFP's and making proposals Effort estimation and costing.

- Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management

- Writing and reviewing QA and UAT test scripts

- Managing UAT with end users including coordination and user acceptance signoff

- Preparation of user documentation and training documentation as necessary

- Must have experience preparing end-user documentation and conducting end-user training

- Able to work well with technical, functional, & business teams Skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members. Shows ability to effectively delegate work.

Desired Educational Qualification: MBA/BE/B.Tech

Experience:

- Overall 2-3+ years of hands-on experience working as Business Analyst

- Experience in Supply chain industry mandatory.

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is a plus OR Siebel Certified Business Analyst.
