Business Analyst

Key responsibilities :

- Contributes to data science activities including data mining, machine learning and/or statistical analysis using appropriate techniques or technologies.

- Collaborates, communicates, and educates other staff to improve general understanding of analytical and prediction models

- Structure work, frame issues, and produce analyses that answer complex business questions in a pragmatic approach

- Be able to navigate data sources from converting raw data into meaningful and actionable insights to gathering qualitative information from stakeholders

- Make intelligent trade offs between information available and provide innovative solutions even in situations where all the desired data may or may not be available

- Responsible for developing and communicating business requirements to Business Intelligence team in order to operationalize and automate recurring analyses

- Demonstrates Leadership skills including: communicates authentically; strong business acumen; ability to execute strategic vision; takes accountability for driving excellent results; manages change and ambiguity

- Ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple deliverable simultaneously

Desired Skills and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in applied statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required

- Three to six years of experience in analytics, research, predictive modeling, and/or statistics

- Moderate to advanced skill in data manipulation and analysis using SQL and R / SAS

- Superior problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines

- Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Excellent verbal, written communication, and data presentation skills

- Experience in lean or six sigma considered a plus
