Business Analyst - BCBS 239 compliance reporting, Risk project  We are hiring, Project based for top IT company  BA - BCBS  Role & Responsibilities of the position in brief :   Reporting to the Risk Lead Business Analyst, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, through detailed analysis and documentation of business requirements, the development of appropriate solutions for key activities relating to Risk Management.   The function will comprise the following responsibilities :   Business Analysis :   - Gather business requirements detailing current and future state requirements for tactical and strategic solutions   - To understand and enhance the controls within Risk Management   - Work with the key stakeholders (business and Risk IT) to ensure all requirements surrounding the end to end process are clearly understood and appropriate, clear solutions are designed, documented and implemented   - Own body of work, escalate issues to the Lead Business Analyst/Project Manager and where necessary, the appropriate governance structure of the programme   - Develop best practice analysis documentation standards to clearly define and communicate the business requirements and design & implementation of the most appropriate solutions to meet those requirements   - For relevant workstreams, define test cases and support the testing activities to facilitate sign off prior to implementation   - Adhering to the principles of BCBS 239   - Ability to map the risk departments strategic vision of a new system to a set of functional components and deliverables   - Understanding of Risk measures, processes and controls and ability to review/improve business processes   - Understanding of risk capital calculations including Value at Risk, Incremental Risk Charge, counterparty exposures and stress testing approaches   - Ability to perform detailed business analysis (Functional and data) and write business requirements as necessary in support of project deliverables   - Understanding of how bespoke/vendor systems work and therefore the ability to validate and develop them   - The ability to scope out business requirements for Risk off the back of externally driven changes (e.g. regulatory)   - Comfortable writing/reviewing the necessary documentation pertaining to projects eg. PID, BRD, FRD, UAT Test scripts/cases   - Plan and conduct user acceptance testing on behalf of market risk officers   - Ability and confidence to interface with risk officers both locally and in globally dispersed regions, gaining both insight into requirements, priorities and specific needs, but also to manage expectations and lead their thinking through end-to-end solutions (both process and technology)   - Work with IT and data teams to ensure that the proposed solutions are - Fit for Purpose-   - Be competent in discussing functional design with Risk IT   Key Skills :   - Extensive experience of working on Risk projects as a business analyst   - Good practical knowledge of financial products and risk methodology across all asset classes, especially in respect of their Risk management treatments.   - Ability to operate in both agile and waterfall style project methodologies and have an understanding of deliverables required for each.   - Good practical knowledge of current and future regulatory requirements and risk concepts as they relate to exposure & regulatory capital reporting and to wider Risk management practices and procedures.   - Excellent and demonstrable understanding of - best practise- approaches to functional testing, especially User Acceptance Testing.   - Minimum 5 years investment banking experience   - A good overall understanding of Banking and Trading book concept in all its dimensions (limits, ratings, exposure and reporting)   - Detailed knowledge of key Risk metrics   - Able to understand Risk data structures (Logical and Physical) and proficient in SQL to interrogate underlying information to validate data models   - Attention to detail and high quality standards of documentation, processes and control environment   - Excellent communication and organisation skills   - An ability to influence people   - Strong analytical skills
