Browntape - SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Type : Full-time

Location : Mumbai

Role Background : Browntape is looking at integrating with customer's SAP systems to ensure smooth data flow and to provide a superior user experience and dash boarding capability. As part of that initiative, Browntape is looking for SAP ABAP consultants to help in the integration.

Experience Required :

- Experience of working as an ABAP consultant for SAP implementations and support. The candidate should have at least 2-3 years experience of working as an ABAP consultant especially for SD, MM and FI modules. Candidates with experience in the retail space would be preferred.

The candidate should possess sound knowledge of important areas of ABAP such as :

- BAPI

- RFCs

- SAP Script

- Interface programming

- ALE/IDocs

- Workflows

Additional abilities/knowledge in the following areas would be a strong plus :

- Good understanding of Object Oriented programming

- Ability to read through code written in CakePHP (backend), jQuery & Backbone.js (interactions), Redis (queues), etc

- Experience of integrating SAP functionalities with non-SAP applications - Such as using BAPI calls to automatically create Sales orders in SAP

Job Role : Work closely with the Browntape product team and SAP functional consultants to ensure close & full integration between SAP & Browntape.

This would require :

- Understanding of Browntape's functionalities & APIs and their mapping to standard SAP functionalities

- Ability to check technical feasibility of functional requirements/integrations being recommended

- Implementing integration use-cases & workflows prepared by the functional consultants

- Basic testing of the integration with functional consultant's help
