Role Title: India HR Strategy and Program lead Typically reports to (role) - Country HR Director   Purpose Of Role :  The role holder enables both the strategic and operational program management for India Talent agenda. This role is an integral part of the senior HR team in India with linkages to the global COE teams as appropriate.   Key Responsibilities :  To enable application of Business Strategy to Talent agenda by partnering with the Business HR teams, HR COEs, Recruitment, Employee Relations and other teams as appropriate. Oversee the HR program design and delivery as appropriate.   - Accountable for effective design and delivery of programs focused on Talent agenda and business strategy for the different Lob's in India.   - Support change management and culture shifts within India.   - Create a rolling plan, aligned to the 5 year roadmap, for HR programs  - Build and deploy robust programs to address known issues and identify potential new areas of work based on overall Talent agenda and India Business specific strategies.   - Support the building and deployment of LoB or unit specific programs, in a manner that ensures consistency of approach and alignment to global intent.  - Engage with global teams to bring relevant people programs to India and support customization of these global programs to suit local needs  - Build commitment to program commitments, targets and goals across leadership levels  - Keep up to date on trends and metrics and run regular diagnostics to support strategy formulation  - Consolidate and report progress to HR and business leadership as required  Business Impact:  - Clear strategic elements  - Impact is medium term and there is involvement in longer term strategic planning.   - Develops commercially sound solutions that influence business unit results and improve customer relationships.  - Increased awareness of functions outside of own business area.  - May be geographic co-ordination of functions or global functional.  Authority/Decision Making:  - Translates strategy into actionable programmes, operations or activities.  - Effective management of resources and development/implementation of plans and processes.   - Interprets policies, establishes procedures and formulates operational guidelines.  - Demonstrates strategic thinking.   - Problems require searching and selecting, solutions can be checked and proved.   - Works with a high level of autonomy, and is comfortable in the absence of direction.  Experience :  - Significant generalist HR experience within a large complex organisation or HR consulting experience.   - Experience of having worked in several HR disciplines with an understanding of organisational design and who can connect the dots.  - Experience in working with senior business leaders & with partners in specialist HR functions.  - Experience in managing and influencing senior stakeholders.   - Track record of collaborative working relationships across reporting lines.   - Strong leadership skills.  - Strong coaching and influencing skills.   - Relationship management capabilities.  Other Significant Role Requirements:   - Exposure to multinational environment, IT/ITES and matrix structure would be a positive   - A wide breadth of both generalist and specialist technical experience  People Management:  - Previous experience of managing teams including within Matrix/ Project environment  Financial Management:  - Previous experience of managing project budgets  Risk Management   - Complies with relevant policies, testing and certifying (or considers and escalates) the adequacy and effectiveness of the business's controls on a regular basis  - Establishes and documents (or follows and/or maintains) operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet the BT Global and local policy requirements
