Scope of the role:
Responsible for developing and maintaining a contemporary, “best in class” Visual Merchandising for Retail chains of the Conglomerate- Also, evolve versions / formats of the retail identity for the Chains like flagship, mall, low cost stores etc as required by the business-
Job Profile:
- Responsible for providing Creative Direction for Visual merchandising and Branding programs for Existing stores and New Stores in co-ordination with Brand, Retail & Projects Team.
- Direction and Coordinating Environment (Retail) Design in consultation with Brand and Retail Team for new store concepts incl Graphics and Packaging to bring alive the Brand at the retail outlet.
- Store layout planning for all new stores and space allocation for existing stores including working out zoning, adjacencies within the stores
- Coordinate with Retail Team in developing the Store design manuals for new store projects.
- Partner with Projects team in rolling out of new store concepts and regular store launches.
- Devise and roll out VM Audit mechanisms and processes.
- Develop Visual Imagery for Existing Stores and New stores and Guide Graphic dept to develop SOPs and Manuals for the same.
- Direct Product packaging design and execution.
- Continuously support stores with Retail Operations Materials for better Brand experience at stores besides effective operations.
- Mentoring and Guiding team on their respective deliverables and provide necessary support.
- Keeping abreast of the latest trends in design, materials, fixtures & finishes and incorporating the same in new stores, formats.
- Work with Marketing Managers to refresh VM in line with Marketing Initiatives- Also, work with the Brand and Retail team to keep the look of the stores fresh and contemporary.
- Developing new design elements / approaches that reduce cost / lead times / energy (“green”)
Key Deliverable:
- Developing a new retail identity with versions for flagship stores, malls / high streets / metros / smaller towns.
- Communicate through innovative VM design to generate consumer interest in the Retail Format-
- Keeping the look & feel of all stores contemporary, fresh and measuring up to the best in the lifestyle space.
- Planning store fixtures, construct to enable quick roll out, reduced lead times and costs.
The right person:
- Architect / Interior designer / Designer with Visual Merchandising Design experience of about 14 years-
- Strong aesthetic, design sensibilities with experience of retail identity development & VM.
- Plugged into the latest VM and retail design trends, materials and finishes.
