Job Description  JOB DETAILS:  Position Title: Brand Manager  Reports to: Marketing Manager  Department: Marketing  Function: Marketing  JOB PURPOSE:  Develop and implement a brand strategy to ensure the development and projection of the company brand image in all markets.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:  Description Performance Indicators  Brand Strategy  Develop a vision, strategic direction and policy for Brand Management that will enable the company to develop and project the company- s brand image.  - Brand strategy and policy is well documented and in place.  Brand Plans  Develop Brand plans and budgets for different categories to differentiate the brand from other brands in the market in order to achieve the annual sales and gross margin targets in existing and new markets.  - Brand plans for different categories are approved and implemented.  Brand Performance  Monitor the performance of the brand for different categories in order to track actual performance from production to the market shelf against the Brand plan and take corrective action.  - Category market share is identified for brand and marketing action  - Brand performance is within company standards and parameters.  Promotions  Direct all Sales Promotions campaigns to execute all Brand Plans in line with the company objectives.  - All promotion campaigns are executed successfully in line with the Brand plans.  Product Development  Support the Production, R & D, Marketing and Sales teams in identifying and developing new or modified products through brand studies in order to achieve the category sales and gross margin objectives.  - Number of new or modified products identified and launched in the market.  Changes to Brand Plans  Evaluate Market Research studies, market conditions and competitor products/activity and implement brand planning changes.  - Number of brand plan improvements made in the year.  Marketing Support  Provide the marketing team with support to develop unique selling propositions and targeted marketing communications.  - Quality support is provided to  Marketing which leads to high % acceptance of recommendations.  Brand Management Standards  Ensure that Brand Management is executed in line with international standards so that management decision making is based on sound brand methodology.  - Brand Management methodology adopted complies with international standards.  Human Resources Development  Develop the necessary Brand Management organisation structure and ensure the right calibre of staffing and appropriate training to meet all job requirements. Provide leadership so that staff are well motivated and engaged to stay and contribute effectively to the organisation.  - Brand Management organization structure is in place.  - Number and quality of staff hired.  - Annual staff performance reports  - Schedule of training programs organised.  JOB CONTEXT:  The job holder functions across the AGCC markets and in Jordan and Sudan. He must therefore be sensitive to the local consumer preferences and needs. The job holder needs to gain accurate, timely and reliable information about the category market share in order to make changes in the brand image and exploit market opportunities.  COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:  Internal: Assistant General Manager, Marketing Executive Director and marketing team. Communicates with sector/department managers to update them with pertinent brand and market information and other insights from brand research.  External: Counterpart Brand management professionals to learn about developments on brand management and the market place. Retail Outlet Managers, Events Management agencies to run sales promotion campaigns.  FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:  Scope : .Manages the Brand Management function for the entire Company.  Decisions : Develops and implements the Brand strategies and plans to provide department managers with feedback about competitive brands, consumers preferences and market conditions. Organises sales promotions campaigns in various markets.  QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:  Qualifications/Knowledge: A degree in Economics preferably with an MBA in Marketing. Good know how on Brand Management and Marketing. Knowledge of international standards of Brand Management.  Experience: At least 3 years experience of product management or marketing or sales.  Skills: Good managerial skills, innovative, good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, good presentation skills. Good planning, organising and analytical skills. Customer service skills.
