JOB TITLE : Trade Marketing Manager  JOB PURPOSE  To enable Marketing to become closer to our customers and consumers, excel at brand activation, field marketing and drive communication for our brands.   To develop and grow brands through a sustained and cost effective trade & regional marketing effort at on premise & off premise  To work closely with region heads & central Marketing in adapting & implementing activation strategies and the agreed BTL marketing calendar  KEY TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES  Marketing Strategy Execution   - Planning the utilization of regional A&P budgets -to segment the budgets into trade & consumer BTL spend plans (On & Off premise) and report on key parameters pertaining to profitability & competition issues.  - Providing the link between brand marketing strategy & marketplace execution for product, pricing & promotion strategy.  - Review the performance of our brand in the marketplace, monitoring volume and market share and the performance of competitive brands. Make recommendations for any adjustments to product position.  - Maintain a current in depth knowledge of consumer trends, political, social, economic developments, sales & marketing opportunities and the competitive situation for assigned brand. Track & report competitor activity and market trends. Identify, source and analyse relevant information on industry, market and consumers.  Identify & integrate regional PR efforts with national strategy.  Monthly report input into giving current situation of funds utilization against planned utilization.  Design local market strategies. Implement BTL consumer marketing programs across region and work with implementation agencies. Launching new brands and products in local markets and driving volume related promotions.  - Responsible for Trade Marketing Budget. Maintain financial controls on all local marketing plans, consumer & trade schemes.   - Develop relationships and maintain an understanding of key customer's objectives in order to develop account-specific programs.  - Key Account management including developing and creating Key Accounts in a short span of time, building and nurturing strong relationships with them.  - Develop marketing program at retail, distributor and consumer levels in line with the organizational business plan. Develop channel specific strategy.  People management / Development  - Regional agency & vendor development  - To ensure that regional marketing efforts are cohesive with sales & integrated with business objectives.  PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES  Experience / Knowledge :  - A blue chip sales or marketing professional with 5-7 years experience, including significant experience of the liquor industry and / or consumer goods  - An experience of product launches, new product development, product line extensions, working with advertising, media, PR etc.  Educational Qualifications :  - Graduate / Masters in Business Administration [MBA] from a recognized business school   Personal skills:  - Excellent Interpersonal & communication skills.  - A resilient & driven attitude in testing situations ; High execution & networking skills   - High energy, self motivating approach - Willingness to work required hours within tight deadlines.  - Strong team player.  - Willing to accept responsibilities & take initiatives.  - Good presentations   - Proficiency ; Negotiation skills ; Alliances building ability
