Location: Mumbai, India Detailed Responsibilities : - Development of consumer-oriented packaging systems with a focus on consumer acceptance, design, material, functionality, compatibility with formula, cost, sustainability, regulatory frameworks, as well as producibility on existing production lines. - Alignment of packaging briefings and launch pipelines with Marketing, Formula Development and Supply Chain Management based on a realistic timing, cost and resource-planning. Control and safeguard appropriate resources. Ensure that project objectives are being met - Continuous improvement and standardization of existing packaging solutions in terms of costs, sustainability, quality and efficiency, safeguarding a cost efficient production at internal and external production facilities. - Validation of new packaging processes, components and procedures. - Translation of input from consumer observations, market trends and packaging suppliers into relevant and innovative packaging ideas and concepts. - Continuous development and qualification of the packaging supplier network in close cooperation with the global packaging sourcing teams. - Close cooperation with cross-functional departments and maintenance of efficient information flow and regular exchange with Beiersdorf's global packaging network. - Management, development and continuous motivation of a team of 4-5 packaging engineers. Requirements: - Minimum 8 years business experience in developing packaging systems for at least one FMCG-company in the personal care segment (preferably global player). - Degree in Packaging Technology or Engineering with a proven track record in designing and successfully launching innovative packaging solutions. - Profound expertise in packaging materials, components and technologies, esp. aerosols, jars, tubes, bottles &amp; closures combined with a good knowledge of local and international packaging vendors. - High level of communication skills with the ability to influence across peers and senior management with pronounced diplomatic and stakeholder management skills. - Strong analytical, strategic and entrepreneurial thinking skills - Critical problem solving capability combined with a collaborative working style - Work experience abroad is welcome SECRECY:&nbsp;The incumbent is strictly obliged to keep company-information as a secret, especially after termination of the labour relation.
