The Head Planning   - Ensures effective Demand Management for the organization, ensuring that the right unconstrained demand gets ploughed into the Supply chain system for both short and medium term building proactive capability to delivery. Custodian of the S&OP process which ensures that surprises are minimized and organization’s plans are on track to ensure ABP delivery.  - Manage and develop the Supply Planning agenda with a major focus on customers (internal & external) and drive improvements in customer service performance to achieve competitive advantage.   - Delivering best in class service through defining and driving the implementation of Supply Chain development agenda, identifying best practices and implementing process improvements to meet customer requirements and drive value for Nivea India. Building relationships throughout the extended Supply Chain including worldwide Beiersdorf supply PCs to optimize resources and manage service related costs.   - Develop and sustain best in class Supply Chain costs through Inventory (working capital) and optimal SC asset utilization.   - MT servicing management.  Detailed Responsibilities (non-conclusive):  Demand Planning  - Ensuring conduct of monthly S&OP to ensure convergence of plans to deliver ABP for the organization  - Leverage opportunities/mitigate risks on ABP delivery basis sales trends and external environment changes through integrated view of market and internal organizational delivery capabilities. Work with Regional Managers, Marketing , SDM and National Supply Planning to balance demand and capabilities and ensure creation of alternate plans to protect ABP delivery.   - Ensure the complete collaboration across functions to converge to a single set of operating plans for the planning horizon ( 6 months rolling )   - Run Causal forecasts and work with Regional Sales and Brand to arrive at Consensus Forecast for the planning horizon   - Take final calls on demand in case of conflict due to supply constraints or any other factor   - Utilize available technology to manage stat forecast and causal forecast to support a robust forecasting process   - Review Weekly performance with RMs and course correct demands for supporting supply chain objectives  - Drive Forecast Accuracy improvement in the organization through the right combination of people capability development, analytics and diagnostics to ensure best in class performance on this metric. Forecast Accuracy – by brand / CFA and Sales Unit.  - Facilitate the Category Supply planners for right decision making and prioritization during constraint situations to prioritize customers / accounts for maximizing sales   - Ensures NPD delivery through monitoring and review   - Ageing analysis and optimizing working capital resources   Supply Planning  - Develop Supply Planning strategies and implement across Nivea India based on sound supply planning principles  - Deliver central planning processes effectively for FG & Imports – Own and champion supply planning improvement interventions.  - Actively communicate with all the teams in the extended supply chain, category and regional sales providing solutions and options that optimizes and best maximize the future growth of the business.   - Develop strategies to manage long term capacity issues identified through capacity modeling processes. Own the Supply Pre S&OP process to ensure alignment and timely course correction to plan and review medium term capacity issues.  - Optimise between Freight and Service levels in a constantly changing supply scenario.  - Defining the Purchase Order for finished goods, packaging material and raw material to the BDF production centers and to Third Party Manufacturers on BNR-level based on the stock situation and plans.  - Close monitoring of the Working Capital situation by means of defined KPIs  - Ensuring the optimal usage of transport capacity with each order, e.g. import of full containers only.  - Ensuring Monthly Import Plan (MIP) aligned to business realities and supply contingencies.   - Ensuring the correctness and thoroughness of each and every import-related transaction in the system.  - Ensuring right connect and wiring with relevant collegues in the international Beiersdorf system and external suppliers.   - Key measures   - Customer service measures – Daily OOS (Depots), Line & case Order fill rates for both General Trade and Modern trade.   - Over all Supply chain costs % age – Infrastructure to support planned inventory holdings, planning related freight costs.   - Ensuring along with L&CS head, Infrastructure capability to deliver peak + volumes   - OTIF of Material – Partnership with copack management team to deliver planned levels of Supplier delivery performance at and from 3PL manufacturing sites.   - MT servicing management  Lead the MT servicing team towards consistent delivery of fillrates to MT chains and customers while building strong relationships with the MT customers.  Strengthen processes of MT servicing management and ensure institutionalization.   - Education: Graduate in any Discipline with an MBA in Supply Chain Management from a premier Institute / APICS certification would be preferred.  - Overall 6-8 years of post MBA experience, preferably currently leading the Planning vertical in a reputed organization in the FMCG / FMCD space.  - An excellent working knowledge of supplychain processes and systems. An extensive understanding of Supplychain management, both operations and development and a good working knowledge of the broader supplychain industry.  - Experience in a leadership role in a mature S&OP enabled supplychain team. Indepth understanding of S&D systems.  - Excellent analytical skills, strong communication, influencing and collaborative skills.  - Outward looking with a real understanding of key customer requirements and developments.  - IT: excellent MS-Office skills, indepth understanding and working on Supplychain Planning softwares, SAP knowledge would be preferred
