Job Description of Lead Buyer at GSC & Global Category Buyer  - Lead Buyer from BASF, works as single point of contact from Procurement.  - Adherence to BASF Procurement Process & Guidelines for GSC.  - Development of bidder list based on the demand from the region from the approved Master Supplier List (MSL) in collaboration with RTM / GCB from the region.  - Coordinates with BASF PVT Team, QA / QC and Engineering for periodic upgradation of MSL.   - Ensuring RFQ to Award process within the committed timeline and aligning with stakeholders for TBE & CBE Approvals in case of delay.  - Review of supplier bids and co-ordinate with stakeholders (BASF, Fluor and suppliers) of clarification resolution   - Price bid opening with Fluor buyer  - Validating the Commercial Bid Evaluation Report (CBE) and obtaining approval from requisitioner on CBE and BSAR  - Coordination with requisitioner on Preparation of Purchase order and approval and subsequent issuance to suppliers   - Attending Commercial and progress review meetings   - Monitoring delivery as per execution timeline and resolution of issues with engineering, procurement, QA/QC for timely delivery  - Change Order management and led the expediting effort, appointing field expeditor as and when required   - Notice to QA/QC inspector for inspection and shipping release and coordinate in PO Close out activities  - Reports to stakeholders on GSC Operations and ensuring KPI's on Savings & Timeline are achieved  - Category Management - Subject matter expert  Experience required  - Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent  - Management degree in Business Administration is desirable  - Experience - 8 ~ 12 years in Procurement, Project Purchase in a MNC.  - Global Experience outside India is preferable  - Strong acumen for innovation, change management & leadership is desirable  Position at GSC Delhi  - Preferably from Delhi NCR  - Local candidates from Bechtel & Equivalent EPC / Engineering companies in Chemical, Petrochemical is desirable
