Location : Candidate can work from his / her current location  Human Resource : D&I  Overall purpose of role :  - Lead and run the Diversity & Inclusion function for whole of APAC Region of Barclays including India across Noida, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune (Additionally, support the D&I agenda and activities Barclays Bank PLC India operations at Mumbai and New Delhi).  - Collaborate with APAC Diversity networks and supporting functions (Resourcing, Rewards, HRBP, LL&T, Colleague Engagement, ER, CRES etc.) and external partnering relationships to advance the Diversity and Inclusion agenda.  - To be an advisor to senior leadership and business in matters of diversity and Inclusion such that Barclays in APAC is positioned as inclusive and an employer of choice in the APAC markets and amongst our existing employees.  Key Accountabilities :  Strategy and Operational Plans :  - Jointly develop and manage implementation of a consistent APAC wide D&I strategy and operational plan such that it promotes Barclays as an employer of equal opportunity with continued focus on Gender, Culture, Multigenerational & Disability agenda  - Ensure that this strategy is aligned with the overall Group D&I strategy, Values and messaging.  - Ensure that the strategy is focused, measurable, business- aligned and scalable.  - Design and deliver the implementation of this strategy along with APAC Employee networks across geographies through consistent plans, harmonised policies, inclusive programmes and initiatives.  - Ensure the staffing model, resource plan and budgetary allocations are designed to achieve key service delivery metrics and ensure that the same are communicated effectively both externally & internally to facilitate business compliance.  - Support, leverage & lead APAC D&I initiatives  Ensure that the D&I initiatives support the 3 key pillars of :  - Attract / Retain, Develop / Promote, Enable / Engage diverse talent.  - Build Barclays APAC reputation as a strong contributor to achieving the global D&I strategy and vision  Partner across Diversity councils and lead delivery in APAC of Global initiatives like :  - International Women's Day  - World Culture Day  - International Day of People with Disabilities  - Cancer Awareness & Movember campaigns  - Spectrum led awareness campaign on LGBT.  - Effectively engage members of the APAC Leadership team, visiting senior leaders and external leaders / speakers in D&I forums & dialogues  - Visible commitment by Barclays to Diversity & Inclusion by participation in industry forums, benchmarking opportunities & external recognition.  - Ensure risk and financial management and that the function runs in control and drive continuous improvements in the process  Service Delivery :  - Be a strategic partner to Barclays APAC functions enabling them to meet business goals as well an integrated D&I narrative  - To ensure Operational excellence in delivery of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives pan APAC  - Institute a consistent set of diversity metrics and actively measure delivery against those.  - Guide and support the delivery of programme and initiatives across diversity agendas by leveraging all channels like Leadership communications, events, development sessions, focus groups, emails, Intranet, Mysite, internal publications & newsletters.  - Monitor competitor & external market activity.  - Report achievement against KPIs on a quarterly basis.  Control Environment & Decision Making :  - Deliver effective management of risk, governance, compliance and control issues across the portfolio, including strong cost management and delivery to budget  - Take independent decisions in line with the Barclays control framework and ensure compliance to all internal policies and procedures, all Intellectual property guidelines, all group brand guidelines and the Barclays Media Policy  - Ensure functional RCAs and Business Resumption Plans are created, owned, updated and managed with regularity  - Ensure consistency of messaging, branding and engagement activities across all sites by providing strategic direction and cohesive multi-geography leadership  Financial Management :  - Ensure budgets are managed effectively for own business area.  - Partner with employee networks to ensure effective budget allocation, spend and reporting  Relationship Management :  - Establish and maintain effective working relationship with key stakeholders including members of APAC Management Committee, business heads and Communications Managers & Directors globally, Regional / Entinity leadership teams  - Work with the functional owners to ensure cohesion between departmental and organisational communication & engagement objectives.  Succession Management :  - Coach and mentor colleagues, and build a succession plan.  - Upskill and partner with identified business diversity champions, network leads to effectively deliver the APAC D&I strategy  Special Projects :  - Partner with global teams to drive consistency of messaging introduce programme and initiatives that help create an environment that is inclusive, empowering and enables colleagues to achieve their potential.  - Provide leadership, innovation and creativity for the development of communication & engagement channels for D&I.  Internal Communications :   Support Internal and External communications for D&I initiatives :  - Continued colleague engagement by leveraging leadership communications, blog messages, internal newsletters, campaigns, email and intranet based channels of communications, to create a strong association with - Barclays-, and increase awareness of its commitment to being a diverse and inclusive employer.  - Be an advisor to leadership, employee networks and internal communications on translating business messages into inspiring, inclusive and compelling communications, presentations, papers and articles for internal / external audiences  - Scope, define and agree communication outcomes and requirements with global & APAC wide campaigns/ project owners and provide advice on strategic communication issues and plans  Media Relations and PR :  - Be an advisor to senior management in matters of diversity and inclusion in the external media  - Build Barclays APAC's reputation as a diverse employeer through effective use of media relations, channels in partnership with APAC Communications teams.  - Support resourcing and other teams requiring marketing and advertising advice  - Identify opportunities for positive coverage in the media including highting leadership profiles, industry best practices introduced by Barclays  - Identify and participate in external Diversity and Inclusion forums, benchmarking forums, and events and project a visible commitment by Barclays to Diversity & Inclusion  - Develop reputation Barclays- APAC entities as an - Employer of choice- in their respective categories or industries through effective media relations and engagement (in partnership with external communications team)  - Ensure robust measurement processes and tools are in place to evaluate D&I external communications activity.  Employee Engagement :  - Be the advisor of and partner in enhancing employee experience across various touch points (like recruitment, induction, exit to name a few)  - Develop concepts for and manage organisation-wide D&I engagement events  - Enhance brand association and brand pride through effective internal communication.  Person Specification :  - Excellent at all forms of communication  - The person should have comprehensive project management skills. They should be able to understand and visualise the D&I project sand deliver every step in a timely manner.  - The person should have very good problem solving skills and have the ability to take decisions. This person will be the - go-to- person for all D&I queries, concerns and problem solving.  - The person should be resourceful and create their own network of SPOCs and support to be able to deliver to the organisational agenda.  - Should be a proficient negotiator and should be able to influence outcomes of key decisions - like those involving external suppliers, allocation of budget and risk mitigation.  - Should be able to have multilayered negotiations with suppliers to derive business benefits and cost effectiveness by contracting the right agencies, partners, people and deploy them effectively to meet the organisational objectives  - Should create a controlled environment for all D&I activities.
