SOX PMO Management Testing Location : ABS Offshore  Target Date : Immediate  Proposed Level : Consultant CT1  Background :  - The incumbents selected for this role will perform SOX management testing and also share responsibilities as the point of contact for all external audit requests from PWC.   - Sarbanes Oxley requires management to test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and provide an opinion on the effectiveness of these controls. Management is required to design the test of controls to validate their effectiveness and testing of the control should be performed by someone independent of the process owners.   - In response to this requirement we are seeking candidates to perform independent management testing of AXA US internal controls within the SOX PMO area.   - Additionally, to improve the management of external audit requests we are expanding the role of the management testers to monitor external audit requests received from PWC. Incumbent will maintain an inventory of requests received to assess volumes, response times and provide bi-weekly reporting for the Chief Accounting Officer detailing the age of outstanding requests by business unit.   - This role requires professional interaction with the various AXA business units and PWC to ensure a timely and complete response to requests.   General Description :  - Perform multi-platform (application, database, operating system, monitoring tools, and business processes) level testing based on predefined test objectives and test plans.  - Organize and reference work papers for review by onshore management.  - Perform retest of controls that have been remediated or updated as a result of previously identified deficiencies.  - Obtain, review, and interpret evidence provided to validate controls are performed effectively.  - Document recommendations for test plan modifications that would improve processes, strengthen control points and/or testing procedures.  - Evaluate the adequacy of process design and the effectiveness of controls in meeting business and control objectives.   - Propose practical and value added recommendations to address control weaknesses and/or process inefficiencies   Work Experience / Skill Requirements :  - Accounting degree required  - Public Accounting experience a plus and CPA, CIA, CISA designations preferred  - Knowledge of COSO Risk and Internal Control framework required  - Working knowledge of professional IIA performance standards with regard to planning, testing, sampling and documentation  - Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements   - Well-developed technical skills in Word and Excel  - Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with all levels  - Strong analytical capability   - Logical approach to identifying and evaluating issues and problem solving   - Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
