Assistant Manager - R2R  Process Brief :   - Operational Accounting is a business area within the AXA US Finance Shared Services area which is responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting for life, annuity, payroll tax, unclaimed funds and most recently employee benefits and executing related financial close processes. The Employee Benefits line of business covers group benefits including vision, short term disability, long term disability, critical illness, GAP Medical. Group Life, Hospital indemnity, and Accidental Death.   - The Employee Benefit unit relies on the administrative services of four distinct Third Party Administrators. The ABS Specialist is responsible for preparing account reconciliations between the general ledger and source systems for all products associated with the Employee Benefits line of business. In addition, this role prepares journal entries to support the Company's financial close.  Position Summary :   This role will support the reporting requirements for our new Employee Benefit product portfolio. This position requires an accounting degree and ability to interact with varying levels of management in the business area, reinsurance, auditors as well as other areas of Finance, including the US GAAP, Statutory Reporting and Corporate Actuarial teams.  Key Accountabilities :   The requirements of this position include but are not limited to:  - Supporting the onshore preparation of statutory and US GAAP reporting schedules for the health insurance line of business  - Interacting with multiple third party administrators on resolving accounting issues and providing required detail to support reporting requirements.  - Preparing monthly accruals.  - Recommending and implement improvements and/or enhancements to processes and procedures.  Specific position related exp :   - Accounting degree with 6 to 8 years- experience in a professional office environment  - Strong organization skills with a focus on meeting and exceeding expectations in terms of quality and timeliness of work products delivered  - Ability to independently research and resolve accounting issues   - Ability to excel in a cross-functional team environment  - Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel  Specific knowledge required :  - Insurance industry and accounting experience is a plus.  - Solid understanding of balance sheet, income statement, journal entry processing  - Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good working knowledge of financial data flows and controls design to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements  Qualification : CA OR ICWA  Experience : 5-7yrs  Shifts : 2:30 pm- 11:00pm (Six days in month night Shift)  Key Skills/Competencies :  - Building Capability.  - Change Leadership.  - Focus on Customer.  - Living through AXA Values.  - Result Orientation.  - Share to Succeed.  - Strategic Vision.  - Team Leadership.  - US VISA - Mandatory
