- Proven results in sales/business development roles

- 1-5 years experience in the Finance sector

- Experience working for/with startups or in environments of uncertainty

- Experience working with mobile technology, SaaS, and enterprise software

- Prior interest and excitement about for-profit social enterprise and ICT4D

- Skilled at quickly establishing trust and rapport

- Meticulous attention to detail in communications and in following operating processes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Your role is to source and qualify leads, develop prospects, and close valuable and socially impactful deals for Awaaz.De. Your focus will be the Finance sector, especially microfinance institutions (MFIs), Business Correspondents (BCs), Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), commercial banks, and insurance providers. Eventually, you should build yourself into a sector expert who understands the pulse of each market segment, common challenges across organizations, compelling use cases for Awaaz.De's offerings, and how to efficiently close deals.

Specifically, you will conduct the following activities:

- Build lead and qualify lists for target market segments

- Use creative tactics to get leads- attention

- Actively listen, ask questions, and make keen observations to understand organizations- challenges

- Propose solutions in collaboration with organizations that solve their important problems and serve marginalized customers, users, and beneficiaries

- Persistently navigate organizational structures through emails, calls, and meetings to efficiently close deals

- Help the Communications team to build sector, segment, and lead-specific pitch deck presentations and other sales materials

- Prepare formal written proposals to prospects

- Research sectors, market segments, and potential technology applications using the web and personal sources

- Travel when necessary (on average every one to three months) to client sites outside Mumbai as well as industry events

You will report directly to Awaaz.De's VP, Business Development based in our Mumbai office.

LOCATION: Mumbai (Bandra)

COMPENSATION: Rs. 6.0-9.6 LPA or commensurate with value to the company; longer-term potential for performance-based compensation
