AVP - Technical Program Manager for a Global MNC in Hyderabad.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the European Customer Service team, which is responsible for driving high-visibility, strategic Customer Service programs that directly impact the EU customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a Software development background as well as Project /Program management experience and will own and execute complex program expansion projects and drive key operational process improvement activities. You will be comfortable in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment, with the ability to drive the program’s strategy and roadmap, collaborate with business and development teams across the company to analyze the cost/benefit of project selection, and manage all aspects of the project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven ability to influence change at all levels as appropriate, by Interacting with cross-disciplinary technical and non-technical teams in order to design new business processes and technical solutions.
- Decision Making/ Complex Problem Solving- proactively gather the right data from appropriate sources, probe/consider all of the facts, considers other perspectives; conduct root cause analysis; refer to long term plans and goals; priorities key factors; act decisively, promptly and confidently.
- Defines functional requirements and specifications, high level processes and system solutions.
- Take full responsibility for the progress and launch of the project from design phase to implementation.
- Liaise with all departments to ensure relevant areas are engaged in time to develop deliverables within their area to support Project Initiatives.
- Develop a working project plan for each new launch to track milestones, deliverables and deadlines.
- Define and execute test cases to support system changes, new product or service launches
- Liaise closely with technology teams across the world to define and drive the technical changes for new and improvement projects.
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s / Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field having 8+ years of work experience with 3+ year relevant work experience in leading global projects in BFSI, Retail, IT or BPO industries.
Someone who has worked with Business teams to articulate the technical requirements with clients
- Has acted a bridge between business and SD Teams. Stake holder management is a must.
- knowledge on Kindle and Amazon is preferred
- Understands the flow and is able to articulate and communicate to SDE’s
- Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position.
- Ability to translate complex functional requirements into detailed technical specifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including an ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive).
- Candidates must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically
- Experience in the design and coding of Perl, Java or C, C++
- Experience with HTTP Protocol, XML,JAVA, C, C++, Perl, UNIX, J2EE, JavaScript, and AJAX
Strong Project Management experience.
- Has worked on Agile
- Database skills are preferred but not required.
