AVP - Product Control - BFSI/IT/ITeS

Looking for candidates with minimum experience of 6 years into product control, willing to relocate to Mumbai, for AVP role.

Team Overview: Product Control Team reports T+1 Trading P&L for all Regions. Liaising with traders/MO and various peer groups to resolve breaks/ issues around PNLs.

Job Description :

- Person will be responsible for producing daily T+1 P&L production within one of the following product lines: Equities, Equity Derivatives or Fixed Income products

- Providing daily commentary on P&L swings and variance investigation to Front office traders and senior finance managers

- Review daily adjustments and control accounts and ensure all daily and aged breaks are followed up and resolved.

- Accountable for performance and associated risks for all activities performed within the P&L group and ensuring SLAs are met

- Lead, motivate and manage a team of 5-10 people. Responsible for recruitment, training and development, talent management and retention.

- Foster an environment that understands and effectively manages risk and control guidelines

- Liaison with onshore controllers and resolve adhoc issues concerning bookings, valuations, new business, strategy and other areas

- Nurture talent and develop amicable relationship with different regional and functional stake holders

- Perform UAT testing for new system, process and indentify risks involved and coordinate with respective teams for resolution

- Active engagement in continuous process improvement and change

Requirements :

- Good understanding of Trade life cycle and knowledge of financial instrument accounting

- Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail

- Strong planning and organization skills, with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands and communicate this effectively

- Proven ability to execute and deliver change

- Effective leadership with requisite interpersonal skills to direct and motivate the team to achieve results

- Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both oral and written.

Qualifications: CA or MBA with additional qualification of FRM or CFA is desirable

Essential: Minimum 6-8 years of post qualification work experience with atleast 3-5 years in product control with at least 2 years in handling teams.
