Opportunity with an organisation of repute into Background verification  Designation: AVP / DVP - Analytics - Statistical Modeling (SAS Mandatory)   Location: Mumbai  Responsibilities:   - Act as Subject Matter Expert in Statistical Model Development and Commercial Banking domain.   - Will be responsible for delivery of high quality analytical and benchmarking solutions in the commercial lending space for banks and financial institutions who are customers of organisation.   - Have strong understanding of business domain, its strategic direction, functional goals, and the required technical expertise.   - Lead the analytics delivery team, and will be accountable for the full project cycle of analytical and modeling projects, which includes developing detailed modeling and analysis requirements, performing advanced statistical techniques and creation of models including predictive scorecards, coordinating analytical resources, and ensuring that deliverables are in accordance with expectations and business needs.   - Sees the 'bigger picture' and assesses relationships between recommended analytical solutions / projects and business performance.  - Partner with Business Development team in formulating key analytical strategies / solutions to achieve a higher value.  - Makes decisions, even with ambiguous /incomplete data at a pace that balances the need for further analysis and the need for timely decision given business pressures / requirements.  - Drive initiatives which ensure higher efficiency automation, develop training manual, etc.   - Work with multiple customers/functions on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver in a timely, efficient and effective manner.  - Monitor and review of all projects with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of projects.  - Recruit, on-board, train, coach and develop talent. Provide necessary people management.  - Assure compliance of regulatory and privacy issues during implementation of modeling and analysis projects.  - Will be responsible for delivery of analytical products and solutions that will address the Credit Risk of lending portfolios  - Will be accountable for the full project cycle of analytical and modeling projects, which includes developing detailed modeling and analysis requirements, data extraction, performing advanced statistical techniques, creation of models including predictive scorecards, and ensuring that deliverables are in accordance with expectations and business needs.  - Will be responsible for analyzing Bureau data, identifying and highlighting key industry trends  - Will need to conduct proactive analysis of client/member portfolios based on bureau data and present results to drive higher solution adoption  - Develop internal and client presentations communicating the methodology, model performance and benefits. Drive initiatives which ensure higher efficiency automation, develop training manual, etc.  - Work with multiple customers/functions on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver in a timely, efficient and effective manner  - Interact, communicate effectively and build strong working relationship on an ongoing basis with business partners.   Education:   - Masters degree or PhD in mathematics/ statistics/ economics or equivalent quantitative subjects.  - Experience in analytics (in commercial lending/ financial services domain is a plus).At least 5+ years of proven statistical analysis or equivalent.  - Business Leadership Experience focused primarily in the Banking & Financial Services Domain.   Skills / Competencies Required :  - Proven leadership track record of managing and leading teams in dynamic/changing marketing environments  - Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally  - Ability to conceptualize new solutions. Strong project management and client management skills.   - Prior product development and/or modeling experience.   - Experience in the study of business data using statistical analysis in order to discover and understand historical patterns with an eye to predicting and improving business performance  - Knowledge of implementation and of analytical solutions like score cards, segmentation etc.  - Proficiency in SAS
