About our Client: Our client is a large MNC Financial Services firm with significant growth plans for the India region. Having established themselves in India, they are now ramping up their analytics group. This opportunity as a AVP-Big Data Analytics is to grow the digital footprint of their business globally through analytical insights based out of Mumbai.

Job Description: Reporting into the Vice President - Digital Strategy, your role would be to solve business problems by providing insights from digital data using Hadoop and Big Data techniques.

You would also be responsible for:

- Demonstrating active, effective leadership by inspiring a vision, motivating a passion to excel and cultivating the firms values.

- Deliver on digital analytics projects that require analyzing information (e.g., clickstream data, unstructured data, offline customer data) on Hadoop using Big Data tools and techniques.

- Effectively communicate project findings with team, partners and senior management.

- Participate in periodic meetings with Manager and Business Partners to share overall status of work, progress, issues.

- Seek synergies in activities across teams and implement value-added enhancements to the way work is executed.

- Train other members of the team on Big Data.

The Successful Candidate: As a successful applicant, you should have :

- Post graduate degree in a quantitative discipline from a premier institute (IIT, ISI, IIM, ISB, NIT's etc)

- 4-8 years of work experience in Analytics with exposure to analyzing digital data using Hadoop

- Basic understanding of statistical concepts & modeling

- Exceptional management, analysis and presentation skills and have demonstrated experience to attract and retain a high performing team.

- Hands on experience on visualization of Hadoop, Hive/Pig
