Job Description/Requirements for Architect

- 8 - 10 years of IT experience of which at least 8 years in ATG e-Commerce Platform (nucleus component framework, droplets, form handlers, repository framework, JSTL, DSP/DSPEL tag libraries)

- Seasoned ATG professional having architected several full lifecycle implementations for large scale eCommerce web applications, audited the solutions of other implementations and has a sense of efforts for large & transformational programs.

- Excellent knowledge of OOTB (out of the box) features available in ATG e-Commerce Platform

- Hands on experience in customizing ATG solution stack

- Architected Multi-Channel Digital Consumer experiences based on a foundation of ATG Commerce

- Architected awesome commerce features such as search, product details, personalization, merchandizing features such as catalog, pricing and promotions, Pricing & promotions, order, checkout process, campaigns and integrations of the enterprise systems.

- Architected solutions around customer service, campaign management and data analytics.

- Diagnose and solve technical problems related to commerce implementation.

- Interact with clients to create end-to-end specifications for ecommerce solutions.

- Provide inputs and direction to senior developers on the team for design and implementation.

- Define implementation processes, quality gates and standards

- Define best practices to implement non functional requirements like performance and scalability of the ecommerce solution

- Well versed with application/database tier sizing, performance tuning activities

- Excellent programming skills using Java/J2EE, XML/ JSON, XSL, JMS, RESTful web services

- A good understanding of Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms and Problem Solving

- Proficient with transaction processing, RDBMS concepts and is familiar with locking & basic tuning concepts of Oracle database

- Exposure to Linux/UNIX shell scripting, source code control (GIT), build tools (Ant/Maven), configuring & deploying applications on JBoss, WebLogic or WebSphere are a plus

- Loves technology and is passionate about building large & highly scalable services
