The Applications Associate Director is responsible for leading and managing the Applications groups, developing teams and projects on following Technologies  - .NET / JAVA;   - Salesforce;   - Sharepoint  - Mobility   This position provides overall leadership and strategic direction to the development teams in building platforms of strategic value for Organization.  Coordinates Applications maintenance and enhancement efforts to leverage enterprise resources, knowledge and best practices.  Principal Responsibilities:   (List in order of general importance)  - Manage the activities of a unit that is comprised of Application specialists and contract staff involved in new roll outs and support.  - Coaches and mentors staff and managers under direct report  - Works on highly complex business issues that have significant impact on the enterprise, and across enterprise processes and functions.   - Oversees application life cycle planning, including Development Project Preparation, Blueprinting, Realization, Go Live and Support.   - Oversees development projects, including project planning, resource allocation, steering committee leadership, and team organizational structure management  - Establishes Application support processes and ensures achieving documented SLAs  - Measures and guarantees quality of all development deliverables in terms of timeliness, budget and reliability.  - Provides thought leadership for applications solution design for complex implementations  - Define business-relevant KPIs for development area and presents them to senior management.  - Plan, organize, direct and control the activities and resources required to carry out multiple, simultaneous development projects involving multi-disciplinary teams. Share and align plans with functional shareholders.  - Provide cost benefit and project feasibility assessments based on modeling.  - Develop an efficient working model with local IT consulting firms to deliver projects with highest quality, value added service to internal stakeholders and ensure customer improvement initiatives are well established.  - Responsible for the Applications Development strategic planning framework, budgets and plans.  Qualifications:  Work Experience (Years, setting, etc.):  - 12 years+ relevant experience on relevant technologies such as .NET/JAVA, Salesforce, Mobility, etc  - Significant experience managing and leading Application development teams (both small & big) across global locations, diverse functions  - Exposure to Agile methods of applications development  - Experience working with CMMi Level 3 and above organizations  - Experience across development platforms and tools  - Extensive experience in planning, budgeting and allocation, implementation and administration, including Solution design for complex Applications Development project  - Project management experience in managing large and complex development projects spanning across multiple geographies  - Fluent in English both spoken and written;   Education:  - University degree from a top-tier institute, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics.  - Certifications on .NET / JAVA  - MBA is a plus, along with PMP  Major Skills (Technical & soft skills):  - Strong applications development and architecture background  - Excellent .NET/JAVA skills  - Exposure to sales force development  - Exposure to delivering Mobility projects  - Superior interpersonal skills.
