Associate Consultant - Corporate Finance M&A - BFSI

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

We are recruiting for an Associate Consultant in the team. Working as an Associate Consultant in this team, your responsibilities will include:

- Identification of appropriate targets for buy-side clients including preparing brief as well as detailed profiles

- Identification and profiling of buyers for clients seeking disposal of part/complete businesses;

- Preparation of parts of or complete buy-side and sell-side pitches including credentials, investment highlights, industry overview, buyer/target identification and profiling, indicative valuation;

- Preparation of parts of or complete CIMs including business overview, industry overview and financial analysis;

- Newsletters and marketing presentations;

Prior Experience:

The candidate must have 1 to 3 years of working experience in either corporate roles, investment banks, or similar analytical/ deal experience, Financial Analysis, Valuation & Pitch support (buy side, sell side);

Technical skills:

- Understanding and exposure to accounting and financial statements analysis, ratios and corporate finance principles and valuation approaches;

- Proficiency in using research databases like Captial IQ, Merger Market, Bloomberg, Factiva, Thomson Reuters and others.

- Good understanding of corporate finance principles, corporate transactions, valuation techniques

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power point;

- A commercial outlook and a good understanding of the general business and economic environment

- Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills - able to demonstrate how one supports the other - and sound commercial acumen

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
