Job Description:

- The Candidate will be responsible for managing the GSIB Financial reporting Process at GFC.

- The candidate would be responsible for end to end understanding and interpretation of the reporting requirements and to execute the project for building & establishing the process with the necessary KPIs.

- Will be responsible for successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and implementation of all monthly and quarterly reporting Activities for the Group including Consolidation, Data Assurance, Variance Analysis and production and Submission of GSIB Reporting tables.

- The Candidate would be expected to establish the relevant Control and Governance Framework for effective running of the Process.

- Will have end to end responsibility for Quarterly Consolidated GSIB reporting w.e.f Q1 2018 which includes Consolidation of base entity data, Reconciliation with Big Data, Proportionate consolidation of Associates, data Assurance and Analytical review and final Submission to Regulatory authority.

- Professional will also be required to take the lead/participate in Global/GFC projects, and work on high end systems and various accounting software applications, to deliver reporting and reconciliations.

The role will also require working closely with the IFRS & FINREP reporting Teams and to leverage existing Upstream activities and best practices.

The roles envisages :

Impact on the Business :

- Responsible for delivery of allocated deliverables on monthly/quarterly basis

- Timely delivery of final GSIB submission to Regulator on quarterly basis

- Understand business requirements and interpret data to provide meaningful analysis reports for senior managers review

- Highlight Key risks to quality and timeliness of Regulatory submissions and help mitigate the risks

- Perform & review financial/consolidation checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness and validity of financial/non-financial data & commentaries

- Highlight key risk to quality and timeliness of regulatory submission.

- Ensure control process are in place to maintain data integrity

Customers / Stakeholders :

- Support and ensure all information sent to customers meet agreed accuracy, quality and time standards set for the process

- The individual must be able to work with all the in-country finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of results on a timely basis. This includes the GPO for Financial Reporting and their teams.

- The individual must be able to work with other teams within the GFC to ensure that there is a joined-up view presented to the in-country teams. This includes working with the OA Teams, the regional FR teams as well the Counterparts in the IFRS and Finrep.

- Support and ensure all queries are handled and closed to the satisfaction of customers/stakeholders

Leadership & Teamwork :

- Support and ensure timely and accurate reviews in line with onshore requirements

- Strong People leading skills to motivate and drive the required behaviours and outcomes

- Strong Multi-tasking skills required to work across multiple teams and with Multiple stakeholders

- Strong inter-personal skills to ensure the relationship with the in-country finance teams are maintained and a level of trust established.

- Strong communication skills to be able to have difficult conversation with either business partners, member of the team or peers.

- Helping the Manager to Manage the team

- Contributes towards Team Goals and Provide Back up Support where necessary

A good manager who can coach the team for all the technical knowledge they need as well as motivate them to give the desired results.

Skills/Experience Required :

Required:-CA/CWA/CPA//MBA (Finance) with minimum post qualification experience of 4 years or more in Finance and Accounting and Financial Reporting.

- Ability to understand numbers and their impact, drive and achieve accuracies across reporting deliveries.

- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) etc.

- Excellent Communication skills - Both verbal and written

- Strong operational understanding of IFRS / FINREP reporting requirements is a must

- Good analytical skills, an eye for detail and a drive for quality, statistical skills to study trends, understand and to interpret Numeric information.

- Knowledge of, and experience in planning and organizing techniques as well as in problem solving techniques

- Self-driven

- Flexibility to work in accordance with Business requirements

- Ability to review the work of other team members as assigned, build rapport with and relate to a wide range of people

- Should be open to shifts and willing to work overtime as per the process requirements.
