Purpose of Department  - Global Analytics Centers (GAC) provides support to various business groups and functions. Members of the GAC are involved in data analysis, model and strategy development and implementation, reporting and data management.   - These analyses form the information basis for strategic planning by the senior management for businesses and enables effective decision making to satisfy business needs and requirements along with addressing unforeseen challenges.  - This role within the Decision Sciences job family supports various analytical projects for the Compliance Analytics function.  The compliance analytics team will be involved in providing best-in-class Analytics solutions to the Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance functions across lines of businesses and geographies within the organization.  - The team caters to both strategy and operations aspect of managing financial crime through a combination of the following activities  - Enable Bank to monitor their customer transactions and generate automated alerts for activities that may be unusual and indicative of potential money laundering.  - Design, deploy, monitor and maintain models in various scenarios for Transaction Monitoring / Client screening  - Support Financial Crime Compliance Operations with analytical solutions for increased efficiency and operational effectiveness through models, scorecards and data attestation frameworks  - Define Compliance Metrics and Design / Deploy MI dashboards to provide insight into system / process performance  - Support System Implementation teams to ensure zero defect   The incumbent for this role is expected to :  - Participate in projects leading to solutions using various analytic techniques for the Compliance activities through involvement in any or all of the following activities  - Data Quality Analysis, Segmentation, Threshold Setting and Tuning for Transaction Monitoring  - Trend Analysis and Dashboard Creation based on Visualization technique  - Data Implementation Checks and Quality Assurance  - Develop Statistical models and data attestation frameworks  - Execute the assigned projects/ analysis as per the agreed timelines and with accuracy and quality.  - Complete analysis as required and document results and formally present findings to management  - Adhere with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual,Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable.  - Graduation / Post Graduation degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics on any other quantitative discipline  - 1 - 5 years of post-qualification experience in Analytics. Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.  - Knowledge of statistical techniques and working experience in tools like SQL /SAS is a must  - Project based business knowledge. Ability to diagnose issues and resolve simple to moderately complex issues.  - Good analytical thought process and aptitude for problem solving.  - Should be adept in using MS Office with exceptional MS Excel Skills.  - Experience and Exposure to visualization technologies such as Qlikview/ Spotfire/ Tableau will be an added advantage.  NOTE: In hand work experience in SAS & SQL is a mandate.
