Job Description for (Back office)

1. Core operations

A. Handle Day - to-day Trade operations activities : -

- Download the outward remittance documents sent by the customer

- Check for the outward remittance documents for any discrepancies, inform the customer to submit the revised documents.

- Inform treasury team to fix the FX rate with the customer.

- Authorization of outward remittances & inward remittances documents processed by the Assistant Managers.

- Scrutinizing the incoming swift at regular intervals on daily basis an inform the concerned about the inward remittance received and process for dispersion

- Scrutinizing the import collection / Import LC documents received from the overseas banks and lodge the same in Winfos and will intimate the customer regarding document arrival.

- Follow up with the customers for the submission of pending remittance documents & other pending documents.

- Preparation of RBI reports (fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly) like R-return, Approval of Trade credit, Import of gold (monthly / quarterly) Report on LRS scheme, EDPMS / IDPMS Monitoring etc.

- Issuance of Bank Guarantees, LCs, Bank realization certificate, FIRC etc.

- Advising of Inland LC's / bill discounting under LC's / checking the SFMS for acceptance etc.,

- Nostro Reconciliation on daily basis.

B. Other activities: -

- Authorization of NEFT / RTGS through SFMS for retail & corporate customers

- Checking the voucher list processed by Assistant Managers on daily basis.

- Authorization of customer Fixed deposit

- Assisting the Treasury back office person for KYC related documents.

- Morning Hurdle on daily basis.(discussion related to RBI guidelines/ errors etc.,)

Core Requirements

- Knowledge of On-Us, NFS Off-Us, NFS Remote On-Us and VISA Remote On-Us Transaction Reconciliation processes.

- Knowledge in Settlement Procedures of NFS & VISA.

- Knowledge in Dispute Management System (DMS) of NFS

- Knowledge in VISA Resolve Online, Edit Package of VISA

- Should have good analytical skills

- Should have basic Knowledge of General Banking Operations.

Other requirements

- Minimum of 5yrs of relevant experience in Back office operations preferably in banks

- Preferably less than 40 years

- Post Graduation would be an added preference. CDCS certification is a must

- Knowledge in all of the Back Office Operations (Clearing / Trade Finance / Treasury Back Office / Remittances) would be an added advantage.

- Should be willing to take additional responsibilities and learn other Back Office Operations [Clearing, Trade Finance, Account Opening, Remittance (SWIFT, RTGS & NEFT) and Treasury Back Office Operations, etc.]

- Should have good Communication and presentation skills.
