Role purpose :   - Lead the in-house Analytics and Modeling team that builds predictive models to address strategic issues such as churn, displacement, acquisition etc that materially impact business, by using appropriate statistical and mathematical techniques.  - Formulate any business problems/needs into appropriate analytical solution and drive implementation.  Key accountabilities and decision ownership :   Statistical Modeling :  - Develop statistical models to support marketing efforts, such as customer segmentation, acquisition and retention. Managing the existing models and executing them, such as churn, displacement, high value, retailer segmentation, FTT and behavioural segmentation.  - Apply appropriate techniques, such as exploratory data analysis, regression, bootstrapping, trees, cluster analysis, survival analysis, etc  Operational Consulting :  - Partner with Marketing product managers to understand business problems and marketing strategies. Partner with IT to implement models and tests.   - Support other areas of business like Sales & Distribution, Financial Teams, etc by application of Mathematical sciences to resolve business problems  Innovation and capability development :  - Undertake implementation of new innovative analytics projects like big data advanced analytics, social network analysis, real-time decisions, etc. thereby impact business positively  - Build modelling capability of the in-house team and continuously enhance skill and knowledge to align with the latest in the industry  Key performance indicators :  - Generation of actionable customer insights leading to identification of new revenue opportunities or revenue saving opportunities,creation of new products / processes and services  - Implementation of the models into production for circles to access the outputs at the decided frequency, and monitoring the results there off  - New business problems identified and drive development of appropriate models to address that  Must have technical/professional qualifications :   - Master's degree in economics, statistics or mathematics, with 8-12 years of relevant experience  - Experience with statistical data analysis and adoption of advanced modeling techniques   - Strong expertise in statistical analysis tools like SAS or R, Hadoop, Python, etc.  - Knowledge of relational database tools and understanding of SQL, capability to handle large data  - Strong consultative skills in addition to quantitative ability
