Job Title : Senior Manager- Finance   Department : Corporate Finance  Reporting to : Chief Manager - Finance   Grade M5 A/B  Jobs Reporting Into :  Manager - Finance  Executive - Finance  Location/Unit : Vakola, Mumbai  Role Description :  Job Purpose :  - Provide M&A support role in valuation & due diligence  - Conduct Financial Budgeting for the Group & monitor financial performance  - Provide inputs to management for decision making on pricing, overhead controls and others  - Appraise, review and control Capex  Primary Responsibilities :  Business Responsibility Areas :  Key Performance Indicators :  M&A Support role :  - Evaluate M&A Opportunity in domestic & international markets and provide valuation of opportunities  - Provide support for due diligence and deal structuring  - Support in transaction closure and post closure integration on the Finance & Business front  Annual Planning :  - Prepare annual financial plans for group including sale, material cost, overhead, manpower cost, capex and working capital  Financial Analysis & MIS :  - Monitor, analyze and report P&L, financial data, overhead, working capital, variances in plans to facilitate decision making  - Provide MIS to all stakeholders regularly to highlight cost overrun and savings  - Project profit based on changing scenario related to sales, material cost, overhead and other factors  - Assess the profitability and impact of various pricing conditions  - Prepare reports on competitor analysis (domestic as well as global) and economic analysis)  - Rigor / depth of data analysis   - Adherence to timelines  - Rigor of performance reviews across businesses  - Cost saving measures in overheads and capex  Capex Sanctions, Control, Benefits review :  - Sanction capex proposals after due evaluation  - Review benefits of capex proposals for earlier years in terms of timeliness, value add in the process and determine the benefit secured  - Depth of evaluation  - Understanding of business requirement  - Capturing of financial and non-financial benefits of proposed capex  - Adherence to funding SLAs  Scope of Work :  Financial Scope :  Range of financial spend : 25 lacs (mainly travel and reimbursement, due diligence activities)  - People Management  Scope (Range of no. of Direct/ Indirect Reports) :  - 2 direct (One Manager, One Executive)  - 2 indirect (2 officers)  Geography Coverage (Country-wide/ Statewide / Area-wide) :  - APL group covering financial planning and review for all subsidiaries, JVs and business  - Corporate Coverage  (Company-wide / Business Unit or Function-wide / Sub-function wide / Other) :  - Corporate Finance covering financial review for the group. M&A support in Industrial, International and Home Improvement Areas  Key Interactions :  Internal :  - Business Finance Manager/ CFO of subsidiary  - Plant - all levels including Plant account manager and Senior Manager-  Engineering and ManTech :  - Sales Commercial Hierarchy- all levels  - Marketing- Commercial and Marketing managers, GM  - Supply Chain - all levels  - Corporate Finance, tax, Accounts, Secretarial, Legal etc.  External : M&A Investment advisors, Due diligence partners (Financial, Legal, Tax), Lease vendors  Role Requirements / Specifications :  Qualifications :  Essential : Chartered Accountant  Desired :  Previous Experience :  Essential : Experience in M&A - advisory, due diligence, deal structuring  Desired :  - Experience in Accounts, Taxation  Functional Competencies :  - Financial reporting process and component understanding  - Macro economy understanding  - SAP  - Excel, Power point  - Taxation understanding will be added advantage  Behavioral :  Competencies :  - Ability to challenge the proposals and assumptions  - Ability to handle complex business database
