The team performs a key function at ARGA and works closely with other teams in Chennai and USA as well as a number of service providers such as custodians, administrators, database providers.   We are seeking an experienced professional with keen business insight and good technical skills that is able to perform a number of functions within the team. Build a comprehensive understanding of databases and ensure effective database management  b. Update databases on a regular basis with the required information.   c. Coordinate the timely and accurate provision of all required data for the databases we maintain by interacting with several internal teams  d. Responsible for completing data queries contained in RFIs and take ownership for their completion  e. Support the marketing/client services team with data analysis for client queries and marketing pieces  f. Develop an understanding of global asset management practices as well as ARGA's investment methodology to aid in completion of more complex data related queries  g. Client account management including opening and transitioning accounts, fee calculations  h. Cash and asset reconciliations and interfacing with custodians and fund administrators  i. Client reporting  j. Other operation functions as required.  k. Work effectively as a team member whilst showing independence.  l. Display excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, an attention to detail and a strong work ethic   Qualifications:  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in an operations role in the asset management industry/investment banking industry   2. MBA or equivalent from a reputable school  3. Financial or accounting expertise is a plus but not required  4. Advanced skills in MS Office (including Excel and PowerPoint)and comfortable presenting to senior individuals  5. Bloomberg proficiency desirable  6. Good written and spoken English.
