Job description:

- Responsibilities include assisting in industry and company research, diligence and financial modeling to support the investment idea generation process, investment deal execution, and portfolio company management

- Preparing detailed Information Memorandums showcasing clients business and capabilities to solicit investment.

- Building detailed financial models across sectors for various PE and M&A projects from scratch.

- Analysis and interpretation of financial statements; ability to then convey conclusions and insights clearly.

- Support on due diligence, financial analysis and transaction closure

- Structuring of transactions by identifying and applying tax & regulatory aspects like corporate law, capital market laws, tax laws, foreign investment and exchange control laws

- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis for a range of strategic M&A initiatives

- Monitoring of portfolio investments as well as of the markets in which they are operating

- Successful candidates will need to be diligent, intellectually curious, have the ability to take ownership of a project or task, and be looking to develop an investor skill set

Qualification and pre-requisites:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years in investment banking, private equity/venture capital, financial analysis, corporate finance or FP&A in manufacturing/service concern. Fresher with exceptional skills will also be considered.

- Strong analytical skills; must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and good report-writing skills.

- Research skills and ability to analyze financial statements and forecasts

- Exemplary attention to detail and accuracy, strong work ethic, ability to multitask, desire to learn and teamwork-orientation.

- Highly motivated, proactive thinker with a positive attitude.

- Professional demeanor with sufficient maturity, self-awareness and humility to make good decisions.

- Clarity of thought and the ability to understand the clients business and economics.

- Excellent command of spoken and written English

- The position is based on Chennai and selected candidates shall relocate to Chennai.

- Knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage.
