Purpose : Provides analyses, functional input, and business requests in order to support Supply Chain development, execution of process & business excellence initiatives. Is responsible for functional development and support acting as a innovation center in collaboration with the other functional counterparts. Key Job Responsibilities : 1. Functional Business Strategy and Development support : - Assessing and governing processes in partnership with functional teams. Signalling potential improvements (repetitive questions, problems, complaints and bottlenecks) within the logistics and system process. Advice on, test, initiatie and lead potential optimisation and changes - Supports the implementation of improvement targets in partnership with functional areas, and Regional Process Owners. - Enhance performance capabilities through optimization while monitoring the logistics processes and systems in term of the error notifications, reports and/or agreed KPI and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) - Collaborates with the Department Director, Manager, Global COE, Regional Process Owners, and functional departments in order to achieve goals & objectives 2. Innovations Center : - Generating improvement and innovation business proposals in cooperation with the functional teams. Drive business case proposals and potential implementation of agreed proposals in collaboration with regional process owner and Global COE. - Regularly identify areas for improvement both internally and externally and implement corrective or improvement practices to achieve operational excellence. - Act as a catalyst for changes and improvements: supporting change mind-set and management. - Oversee correct use of the application and system in the various locations. Acting at the first point of contact for functional questions / problems in the distribution space 3. Cross functional strategy, synergy and continuity : - Focus and partner in total process value and best practices in collaboration with the Regional and Global teams. - Share initiatives conducted to drive operational excellence and department efficiency opportunities from an end-to end perspective. - Create/investigate/plan/implement and achieve results of cross-functional and dependent processes - Lead, share and coach functional counterparts on goals, strategies, policies, tools, systems and procedures 4. Entrepreneurship : - Pro-actively shares creative opinions about how opportunities can be realized and threats can be mitigated or potentially changed into opportunities. - Sets ambitious goals with a cross functional focus, while accounting for the agreed KPI's and SLA's. - Manage supplier relationship to ensure current and future requirements are met - Senior level understanding of principles and practices of area of specialty (Inventory Management) and their application to the business. 5. Customer Focus : - Ensures customer needs are incorporated into the processes, strategy and deliverables in collaboration with the functional teams and global teams.
