Associate Manager - Finance Job Title: Associate Manager - Finance Location: Madurai, India JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Purpose of the role: The position is required to handle entire Costing, MIS and Management accounting functions at Plant level. The Costing function includes standard costing/standards setting / actual product cost calculation, preparation of cost audit schedule and handling cost audits etc. MIS &amp; Management Accounting includes Variance Analysis &amp; Reporting, Variance Accounting, reporting of plant monthly performance and techno-commercial reports. This position needs to do monthly inventory accounting process in ERP and should ensure the inventory control at a plant. Primary Responsibilities Costing : - Should have thorough knowledge of Costing &amp; MIS functions. - Standard cost working for all the major input materials based on the historical data, support details from procurement and other commercial functions. - Update and maintain standard cost for all the materials in ERP - Validation &amp; Setting up of production BOM (Bill of materials) for Finished Goods / By-Products in ERP with the help of production, technical &amp; Quality teams - Support for setting up of manufacturing process routing in ERP to ensure the accuracy in product cost calculation - Allocation of common expenses to related product cost - Preparation of actual cost sheet for all finished goods and submission for analysis - Variance analysis &amp; accounting &amp; Reporting - Periodic review, re-calculation &amp; re-setting of standard cost and BOM in ERP - Calculation of process loss norms with the support of the production team and factoring it into the standards set - Maintaining all costing related records at the site - Preparation of cost audit schedule &amp; handling cost audits Inventory Accounting &amp; Month-end Process: - Support the process of periodic physical verification of all inventories at the plant - Handling Month-end material handling process and passing final production work order confirmation entry in SAP - Responsible for periodic inventory count in ERP - Inventory variance analysis, reporting, and accounting - Preparation and maintenance of inventory/stock movement registers (Stock Registers) - Ensuring Stock Control at Plant - Providing month-end accounting entries related to inventory accounting / common allocation etc to Finance to ensure on time and accurate closure of month-end accounts closing for plant - Calculation of inventory consumption variance, analysis for variance and accounting the variance appropriately - Support the Stores/Procurement to set up Inventory levels for various input materials - WIP stock valuation and accounting - Setting up a system for proper physical stock verification of all inventories at the plant - Design &amp; develop a standard Inventory Cycle Count system in ERP - Responsible for Scrap Management &amp; Accounting &amp; Reconciliation - Working with a cross-functional team to minimize the inventory loss - Supporting commercial team for ensuring insurance claim process in case of loss of inventories Insurance Management: - Providing Assets / Stock details to HO-Team for insurance cover - Periodic review of Actual stock level Vs Insurance cover value and taking necessary steps to revise the insurance cover value appropriately - Handling insurance claim process (factory front) - Submitting Insurance claim documents to Insurance company thru HO - Maintaining good relationship with insurance surveyors / Insurance Company - Accounting of Insurance related transactions in books (Loss/Claim/claim settlement entry) MIS: - Preparation of Monthly Plant Operation Report (MOR) and reporting to Plant Functional Heads - Preparation of Monthly Techno-Commercial Reports, consisting of production and technical details with proper variance analysis reports and reporting the variance (loss / Gain) in commercial terms - Preparation and reporting of Periodic Inventory Valuation report &amp; Inventory Ageing report - Reporting of Inventory Movements - Preparation of Inventory related schedules in connection with monthly accounting MOR preparation by finance - Periodic reporting on absolute/unusable/scrap/written off stock at plants - Preparation and submission of various reports on plant performance/product costing/inventory to the Plant functional heads/Head Office/statutory bodies/Insurance co./Banks etc - Preparation of Cost Audit Schedules and submission to HO/Auditors Audit: - Responsible for handling cost and inventory audits by cost auditors/internal auditor/statutory auditors etc. - Support commercial team to conduct a periodic plant internal audit to ensure the adherence to the SOPs and Controls Others: - Support other functions in terms of all costing related process - Design and develop various SOPs in connection with costing &amp; MIS related functions. - Record Keeping &amp; document maintenance as per the internal and other statutory requirements for future verification/audit purpose - Exposure in Office TPM implementation REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR RELATED EXPERIENCE Education/Degree/Certification(s)/License(s) - MBA - B School CA/ICWA Related Experience (years) : 3-5 yrs experience Required skills and competencies : Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience : - Should have working experience in ERP system - Planning and Prioritization Skills - System and Process orientation - Execution Focus - Inter-personal Skills - Network and Influencing Skill - Communication and Reporting Skills
