Functional Description : Sr. Business Systems Analyst, Risk Capabilities

Purpose of the Role :

This role will require development and maintenance of cutting edge Risk Alerting System across all the value streams of the Credit and Fraud Risk Management. This role will involve engagement across all the Risk Value Streams to elicit requirements of capability to enable monitoring and assessment of risk appetites of various risk strategies.

Responsibilities :

- Development and Maintenance of the applications to enable Risk Alerting across the risk applications to support best-in-class Business Intelligence solutions.

- Drive discussions with partners to refine business rules.

- Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and efficiency.

- Design and build robust data model architecture to support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions.

- Provide recommendations to enhance capabilities to drive efficiencies in Alerting applications.

- Work with team on implementing test automation and CI/CD strategies across the applications.

Critical Factors to Success :

Must Have :

Overall 4+ years of experience including at least 2 years of relevant experience in the following areas :

- Strong technical knowledge and solutions development within Big Data Platform.

- Strong understanding of Analytical BI tools and proficient in SQL.

- Programming skills and hands-on experience on programming languages Java or Python.

- In depth understanding of Spark and Hadoop ecosystems and minimum of two year of work experience leveraging the ecosystem to build/support applications.

Good to Have :

- Know how of agile methodologies like Scrum, SAFE, Kanban.

- Working experience on Code repository tools like GIT/SVN.

- Understanding of basic statistics.

- Demonstrable experience on Business intelligence and visualization tools is good to have.

- Basic Experience with CI/CD best practices including tools for automating software quality.

- Knowledge of existing Risk applications in AXP OR hands-on experience on the Cornerstone platform would be a plus.

Qualifications :

Past Experience : Overall 4+ years of experience, with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Academic Background : Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline required, or equivalent work experience.

Functional Skills/Capabilities :

- Ability to engage with business partners and grom requirements into workable solutions.

- Good communication skills (written and verbal).

Technical Skills/ Capabilities :

- SQL.

- HiveQL.

- Python.

- SAS or R (optional).

- Java (optional).

Knowledge of Platform :

- Hadoop.

- Spark.
