American Express - Manager - Decision Sciences - Commercial Marketing

As a leader of the Decision Sciences team, the incumbent would be responsible for decision science work for commercial marketing. The incumbent will lead a team of 3 individuals. Core responsibilities include: -

1) Conceptualizing and creating framework for solving problems through models

2) Building and delivering on modeling priorities - Developing and enhancing statistical models by utilizing the best-in-class modeling techniques with available data

3) Exploration of new Information sources to create predictive attributes that provide incremental discrimination

4) Managing and helping the team achieve full potential.

5) Work closely with other teams to develop system capabilities, models, controls and designing data elements

Qualifications:

- Post graduate (M.Tech / MBA / M. Stats / MA Economics) with 4+ years of work-experience in analytics industry

- Working knowledge of Big Data (Python; Hive) and SAS. Experience in building models.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of highly skilled analysts in developing information-driven solutions for our customers

- Experience working in highly cross-functional environment, flexibility and adaptability to work with tight deadlines and changing priorities

- Ability to understand data, synthesize into real-world meaning, break down business problems, and conduct brainstorming

- Relevant statistical analysis/econometric experience required and able to effectively translate analytical findings to business implications

- Excellent communications skills
