This role will report to the Manager, Digital Data and Reporting and will be part of the Digital Customer Experience (DCE) Digital Analytics, Insights & Experimentation team. DCE is the Global Center of Excellence in American Express for the definition, development and delivery of Enterprise-level digital experiences and capabilities.   The candidate will manage the Digital Information Management capabilities for DCE and would play a key role in establishing similar capability on big data. She/he will be responsible for the Digital Data Warehouse (DDW) platform & creating highly robust big data infrastructure to support analytics and business intelligence using state of the art business tools. These analysis, BI reports and data will be used for understanding and effectively measuring the value of AXP's digital channel, as well as defining and influencing the company's global digital strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team that develops foundational capabilities enabling enhanced analytics and measurement, critical to shaping global digital adoption and experience strategies.   Job Responsibilities  Create, enhance and maintain data capabilities on big data environment that house various digital portfolio performance metrics.  Execute rapid prototyping especially in the space of BIG Data and NOSQL solutions  Data/Solution design & implementation according to best practices (SQL and NOSQL)  Handle manipulation of large datasets on hadoop to ensure faster and easier data analysis.  Deal with multiple structured & unstructured data along with massive clickstream data and finally design data structures on hadoop for quick business consumption.   Understand business objectives, convert it to data requirements & technical needs and get it implemented by technology partners.  Explore & leverage different business intelligence tools like Tableau & custom tools to create and manage various business intelligence reports/dashboards for different product managers and leadership teams using clickstream data on hadoop.  Required   Qualifications   - 1-2 years experience in data management, business intelligence and reporting work   - Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a tremendous will to win  - Critical & Creative thinking for data visualization and reporting  - An eye for detail, knack for data exploration and strong project management skills.  - Good Interpersonal skills, multi-tasker  Results driven with strong project management skills, ability to work on multiple priorities and keep on track to exceed goals   Passion for data & analysis, ability to understand complex data schemas and models and structure / summarize data into easy to use format for end users  Strong SQL programming skills and experience with Unix file manipulation utilities and experience in driving automation  Strong working experience of statistical software (SAS, SQL) and manipulating large and complex data sets; experience with Teradata preferred  Hand on with using VBA + Excel.  - Exposure to digital analytics tools (Omniture, Tealeaf) and data and Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Microstrategy) would be preferred.  An advanced degree in computer science, information technology or management from premium institutes  Excellent verbal and written communication skills  An interest in all things digital
