The most important task of this team is to keep Amazon prices competitive and accurate, as we update millions of prices every day to earn and keep customer trust around our low prices.   Amazon's worldwide scale makes the role challenging and exciting at the same time, as this team manages pricing risk at an individual product level for millions of products on a daily basis, for all countries where Amazon operates a retail business. This team is evolving and needs to get smarter to scale its systems, processes, analytics, intelligence and end impact on Amazon Pricing, delivering on the core Amazon pricing tenets.  Incumbent in this role will be responsible for the overall strategy, pricing quality roadmap and instituting a Quality Management System to drive end to end quality management of Pricing operations. This person will own a variety of cross functional goals on business transformation, process improvements, innovation & automation, in addition to the operational quality metrics goals.  Key responsibilities :  - Defining the audit framework that involves audit scope identification/prioritization based on business and internal outlook  - Identify an optimal audit tool that can capture all defect related information for all the audit tracks/streams and roll out the same  - Finalize the overall Pricing quality metrics, track the same and come up with improvement plans influencing all of impacted teams  - Build a business dashboard that covers all the key metrics critical to different functions within Pricing, not just limited to audit, and drive critical decisions through the same  - Build a structured model for performing RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and implement the same across internal and external CMT teams  - Influence teams inside and outside of immediate Pricing team to reduce defects from time to time and influence Cost of Quality metrics  - Liaise with teams internal and external in close looping the defects that are found and ensure that repeat defects reduce from time to time  - Identify and execute continuous improvement projects aimed to improve quality of systems  - Manage all the audit streams  - Provide strategic thought leadership to Quality team in alignment with the changing business landscape  - Identify process changes to get better results and roll out the same across teams, including change management to influence adoption  - Manage a team of 250+ resources across various levels and multiple locations  Functional Environment/Role Challenges :  - A highly complex and evolving pricing quality management environment that requires fast/independent decision making  - Global accountabilities and multi-faceted program ownership with a team of varied skills  - A constant mix of strategy, execution focus and people  - Need to work on multiple high impact projects with competing priorities  Key Performance Areas :  - Quality roadmap planning and execution, obsessed with upholding amazon pricing tenets and de-risking Amazon pricing from revenue and profitability standpoint, ensuring successful delivery on high business impact projects goals.  - Pricing Quality Management, delivered via evaluating systems and machine learning analytics  - People Management (org design, team management)  - Formulate, Implement, Track quality strategy for the entire team  - Mentor and guide the quality team to improve business yield, process efficiency and control variance.  - Constantly look for continuous improvement opportunities/projects to optimize the productivity/quality  Basic Qualifications :  - 15+ years of overall experience, with 12-15 years in Quality management and process excellence  - 10+ years of people management experience, managing people at multiple levels  - Experience setting up new functions/business units from scratch  - External market awareness, business analysis acumen, with substantive experience managing and measuring the success of a complex business area, exposure to defining/recommending and executing - game changer- initiatives/projects.  - Operations acumen and passion, with experience in establishing, measuring, and meeting service level agreements, improving the availability, performance, and quality of systems, and managing complex on-the-fly business concerns.  - Proven track record of communicating worldwide with executives and non-technical leaders, Experience with multi-national companies, dealing with customers across the world.  - Excellent formal and informal communication with people across all levels, both remote and local.  - Natural knack for delivering results and understanding a Retail business environment, where product pricing, revenue, cost & profit are an everyday topics.  - Quality management, Strategizing objectives and planning entire team's resourcing in line with these.  - Lead the teams with a bias towards action, supporting a culture of ownership and learning  - Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex organizational issues with a track record of building and developing high performance teams  - Skilled in collaborative management environment, project management & succeeding through regular meetings, Outstanding attention to detail, effective problem solving & analytical skills  - Ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines  Preferred Qualifications :  - MBA from top tier school  - Six Sigma Black Belt certified (preferred)  Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
