We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and customer-focused Analytics expert to join our India Payments Customer Insights team. The team supports the Amazon India Payments organization by producing and delivering metrics, data, models and strategic analyses.   This role requires an individual with excellent team leadership skills, outstanding business acumen, and the breadth to work across multiple India Payments Business Teams, Data Engineering, Machine Learning and Software Development teams. A successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.  Role Expectations :   - Developing a long term analytical strategy and driving the implementation of that strategy.   - Using analytics to influence multiple departments, increasing their productivity and effectiveness to achieve strategic goals.   - Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that help shape our business roadmap.   - Large scale data mining to find trends and problems, then communicate and drive corrective action.   - Evolve the approach for the application of machine learning to existing program and project disciplines, help establish standards in machine learning and statistical analysis to ensure consistency in quality across projects and teams and identify relevant process efficiencies.   - Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions across India payments business units.   - High degree of comfort to own/lead statistical/quantitative analysis and reach sound conclusions and disseminate findings to key stake holders and/or senior management.   - Hands-on working with data, as opposed to managing others who do so.  Basic qualifications  - Master's degree in Management, Math, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, or related discipline.   - 7+ years- experience in driving business insights through large, complex data sets at BFSI/Ecommerce/Telco domains.   - Experience with establishing standards in machine learning and statistical analysis to ensure consistency in quality across projects and teams and identify relevant process efficiencies  Preferred qualification :  - Inquisitive mindset, with proven problem solving ability, and a passion for big data.   - Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.   - Demonstrate proficiency with various approaches in regression, classification, and cluster analysis   - Knowledge and experience in data visualization/reporting software (e.g., Tableau).   - Advanced SQL knowledge   - Exposure to Product management.   - Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.   - Experience in using R, Python, SAS or other statistical/machine learning software.  Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
