Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.  - As Amazon increases its footprint in India by expanding its ATSPL delivery station network in new cities across the country, ATSPL seeks a Procurement Manager to meet all its internal procurement and maintenance requirements.   The Procurement Manager will forecast and procure all items/equipment required to ensure smooth functioning of the org.   - The Procurement Manager will negotiate all contracts and manage vendor relationship including total cost of ownership, payment terms, termination and maintenance/support.  - The role would entail working closely with other teams like finance, compliance, legal, technology etc. to ensure timely procurement and ensuring smooth operations.   Essential Functions :  - The candidate will own negotiations with transportation vendors. S/he will evaluate vendors and negotiate contracts with them. The candidate will come up with approaches to reduce cost of line haul.   - The candidate will develop vendor score cards and hold vendors accountable to meeting the score card targets.  - Leads the team and develops a Procurement Function to support all needs for ATSPL.  - Structures multi-year/long term strategic relationships.  - Develop new Vendors and Vendor Management.  - Identifies and mitigates risk in strategic relationships. Develop and introduce new products/better alternatives/new models.   - Ensure availability of items at all times including Inventory Management.  - Establishes business procedures and tools for procurement department.  - Conducts internal reviews and cost analysis.   - Prior experience in transportation procurement leading cost reduction, negotiations with vendors and vendor development.   Basic Qualifications :  - Bachelor's degree required  - 7+ years relevant experience  - Experience negotiating complex purchases  - Experience interpreting financial data and applying to decision making  - Experience managing people and vendors.  Preferred Qualifications :  - Understands the needs of the business being supported  - Ability to influence purchasing decisions  - Ability to deal with ambiguity and contingency planning  - Exceptional and effective verbal and written communication skills  - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills  - Exceptional project management skills  - Promotes continuous improvement and waste elimination  - Exceptional judgment and instincts; Is right a lot  - Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment  - Promotes ethical behavior  - Evangelizes procurement services across the organization  - Exceptional influencing skills and negotiation skills  Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
