We are looking for a Marketing Analyst who will interface with the business teams, product managers and senior management, to facilitate data driven decisions about our customers, our advertisers, and our business. Specifically, in this role you'll create the reports that we use to run our business, generate the reports on a timely basis, interpret them to identify key insights, and define & track key metrics. You'll analyze our product performance, identify new trends and communicate key drivers and recommendations to other leaders in Amazon. You will not only become an expert at using internal data systems, but also develop close working relationships with data platforms teams and data engineers, in order to acquire the best available data and improve data systems. To do this, this person needs to be extremely hands on, have a deep understanding of Amazon's display advertising products, technical/operational capabilities, as well as the ability to synthesize analysis into a concise and compelling presentation. You- ll need the ability to turn data into insights. This means you should have expertise in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, or statistical packages, and also possess a strong understanding of data collection processes and data management systems- You will also be required to clearly communicate with managers and associates at all levels. This position is based at the Amazon India headquarters in Bangalore. Basic qualifications - BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field - Minimum of 3 years- experience as a Business Analyst or similar role - Proven analytical and quantitative skills (includes the ability to effectively use tools such as Excel and Access) and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses. Preferred qualifications - Worked with SQL and/or Hadoop to extract and analyze large data warehouse. - Comfortable, even very happy, spending hours at a time pouring over spreadsheets. - Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results.
