This is a high growth space and a big opportunity that needs an entrepreneurial minded business leader.  - As a leader you will be responsible for overall P&L of the business and will define its vision, strategic road-map and features - selection, pricing, and experience.   - You will lead cross-functional development activities, projects and process improvements aimed at improving the customer experience.   - In this role, you will closely work with the global teams based in the US, EU and China, stakeholders across India category teams, sellers and the marketing team.  - We expect the Category Manager to be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon, with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.  - The position is based at Amazon's India office located in Bangalore and reports into category leadership team.  Responsibilities :  - Act as the business owner for the category, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the category, along with responsibility for driving strategic projects and promotions to achieve business objectives)  - Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments  - Define and develop an innovative product road-map, and create buy-in from with key partners.  - Support the India category teams in increasing Amazon's selection and coordinate with global teams to make this happen  - Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience  - Move fast, innovate, and find ways to simplify.  - Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines  Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
